Toronto was buzzing with high-profile artists, fashion mavens, actors and more for the Much Music Video Awards that took place last night. Ed Sheeran co-hosted the show and drove fans over the edge as he even performed “Photograph,” complete with a string quartet. Carly Rae Jepsen sang the infectious crowd-favorite “I Really Like You” while Shawn Mendes, who won Fan Fave Video Award, sang his hit single “Stitches.” Drake made a surprise appearance to present the Best Hip Hop Video to P. Reign for “DnF.” Nick Jonas captured fans’ hearts with his popular single “Chains.”
Jason Derulo closed the night with “Want To Want Me.” The Weeknd was one of the big winners of the night, winning four awards. They performed a medley of “Earned It” and “The Hills” – the first-ever broadcast performance of the single. Adam Lambert, Gigi Hadid, Sarah Hyland, Tyler Posey and Debby Ryan were some of the other presenters at the glamorous night of music.
