Oh Canada! Canadian actress Elisha Cuthbert, 29, and her longtime boyfriend, Toronto Maple Leafs captain Dion Phaneuf, 27, got engaged over the weekend after four years of dating. What People.com calls, "A match made in heaven ... or, actually, Canada," the hockey-great proposed to the former 24 star before the couple hosted a surprise engagement party for their friends at the New Glasgow Lobster restaurant in Prince Edward Island. According to The Star, the restaurant then took to their Facebook page, posting, "Last night we hosted a private party for Toronto Maple Leaf’s Cptn Dion Phaneuf where he and Canadian actress Elisha Cuthbert announced their engagement! A nice surprise for all their guests! Congrats to them both and LOVE the ring!!!!" In stereotypically Canadian fashion, Cuthbert has a history of dating hockey players, previously linked to Sean Avery and Phaneuf's teammate Mike Komisarek, but it appears she has finally found her perfect teammate in Phaneuf, and we wish them all the best! ~Morgan Bates
