Emma Watson to receive MTV Trailblazer award

MTV announced today that that British acting sensation Emma Watson will receive the second annual “MTV Trailblazer Award” live during the 2013 MTV Movie Awards. The Trailblazer Award honors best in class young actors who are actively carving out their own unique and diverse path in the film industry. Praised as one of the promising actresses by critics and directors, Watson, 22, has consistently presented herself one of the forces to be reckoned with in young Hollywood, starting with her first acting role as Hermione in the Harry Potter series. Stephen Friedman, President of MTV said, “Emma Watson endeared herself to fans as one of the most beloved and iconic characters of her generation and did so again this past year as she seamlessly transformed into the role of ‘Sam’ from yet another modern day classic in The Perks of Being a Wallflower.” Emma will next appear on the big screen in The Bling Ring directed by Sofia Coppola. In addition, she will star in Darren Aronofsky’s highly anticipated release Noah. The MTV Movie Awards air live Sunday, April 14th. ~Carlos Laron

    No offense, I love Emma. But I think Daniel Radcliffe has been doing more than her. I think this award is more suitable for someone like… Jennifer Lawrence!
