Fergie planning to change name to Fergie Duhamel

Black Eyed Peas vocalist Fergie has filed legal papers to change her first and last names to Fergie Duhamel, according to TMZ. Fergie, 38, who was born Stacy Ann Ferguson, has requested to change her first name to her musical name and her last name to match her husband, actor Josh Duhamel. The couple have been married since 2009 and announced earlier this year that they are expecting their first child together. The singer’s lawyer told TMZ that she is seeking to “conform to the first name which she is commonly and professionally known as, and has been for many years.” She will find out whether her request was granted or not at a hearing on August 16. ~Alfonso Espina
