Filming halted due to wildfires

Fire blazes in San DiegoFilming has ceased on television series shooting in southern California, due to the California wildfires. Celebrities such as Sean Penn, Jane SeymourMel Gibson and James Cameron have had to evacuate, as the fires raging through Malibu and surrounding areas have been declared a state of emergency in seven counties. Richard Gere, who flew into Los Angeles this week told Access Hollywood, “The smoke was actually in the plane as we flew through.” The fires are affecting everyone in the vicinity, as smoke penetrates homes not even in the line of danger. It’s believed Marie Osmond’s fainting spell on Dancing with the Stars may have been due to smoke inhalation, which affected her asthma. As many as six deaths have been reported, and 1800 homes destroyed.

Yes it is supposed to be so easy isn’t it? Just get out of there but you don’t know anything about it, it seems. My own family had to flee a wildfire here in BC and the house burned down. Lost everything. Its isn’t so easy when you have no time to take anything but photographs and pets. How devastating it is and it still is to this day. You see nothing but trees that look like burnt matchsticks. Re-growth takes years and years. It takes a toll on you. To say the least when you have to replace everything. Then there are things that are not replaceable.

So please don’t say duh! Get out of there. That’s not the most original or obvious thing you can say. Unless you have actually gone through it, you really don’t know. If people choose not to leave…why do you care? Its their choice. Try living in one place for several decades and see how easy it is for you then.

A fire can spread fast and unfortunately some may not make it out. There isn’t just obstacles but circumstances, you or anybody else would know or even could contemplate. If you have any comments for me, don’t bother. I won’t be coming back to Tribute for awhile. I am done commenting. Here’s a quote and its one of my favorites because it can be so true.

“Why do People with closed minds always open their mouths?”

Good riddance, DUMBASS!!! Learn how to freakin’ read. Ever heard of PMS..go to your doctor and get some help…because you must have PMS!!!!!

Now listen and learn… first of all…read the article which we are writing about, then read what I wrote above. I said duh, get the heck outta there, meaning…….stop filming, and get the heck outta there!!! Wow…really freakin’ hard to understand isn’t it!!!?????

I really, truly am amazed that some people do not hurt themselves just getting out of bed!!!!

  5. Nancy • October 27, 2007 @ 3:05 AM

Oh, and Karen….why do people (like you) with BIG mouths, never shut them?????

  6. Karen • October 27, 2007 @ 4:22 AM

I knew you would respond, well, look who is actually a dumb ass as you put it. The very last line was my focus. Maybe if you were clearer in what you say sometimes. Most people would NOT shit on what you say most of the time. Yeah, its about filming, it says it right in the title. No Duh….

It sounds like you like to be a hard ass. I have PMS because I know how to use my heart? Or maybe I actually know what its like to go through an actual wild fire like that? So what if it stopped the filming!! That shouldn’t be the focus yet it is. How dumb is that?

Yet, the most important issue gets one lousy sentence. Maybe people need to be educated. Yeah, some of these people may be rich and can replace material possessions but some possessions are priceless and cannot be replaced. I didn’t do that comment especially for you, it ended up being for everyone. Some know, and some don’t know better.

My quote happens to be true and it applies to EVERYONE. Especially to those know it all types who like to think they are right all the time.

Speak all you want Nancy, its your right as well as mine. I actually find it quite amusing. As I said before…everyone is allowed an opinion. What’s more…I think we could have some pretty interesting debates which made me come back and see. Its not often I find someone who is not afraid to say what they feel, no matter what. On to the next topic…let the debate begin and surprisingly enough we might agree on something sometime…

……Now don’t tell me that you never let your emotions get to you on a personal topic. I hold no grudges and do not care one iota what someone thinks of me. That’s the way it should be. Now, I never spell check…how did I do with that? lol. Sorry for the book boys and girls. I don’t shut my mouth for no one!

I think I was pretty clear in what I initially wrote….considering the title of the article. As for the filming being the focus of the article..well, I didn’t write it! As for your PMS, it is not about your heart. You seem to be coming down on everything that I post and assuming that I posted it about you.
Oh yes, I am definately a ‘hard *ss, and as for debating…you sure have met your match! Sure, I sometimes let my emotions get to me on a personal topic, but not on EVERY topic, Karen. As for spell check, sure, I’ve called a few people out on it before…but not you….but as I said, you seem to think that everything I post is about ‘you’!! Now, I thought you said you weren’t coming back to this site for awhile??? I knew you would…..and I’m sure you will comment to me again, so I will be back for a good laugh!!!

    Till then…..keep it green!!

Ah, fire! Another cleanse of nature!!! All the nature will be renewed, just give it time.

  9. Karen • October 28, 2007 @ 4:04 AM

Well that’s what we got is time. Lets hope you are right about the cleansing part shall we?

I’ve read a few of your posts and you seem like a very angry person. Whats up with you?

You to take some serious anger management classes

    Professor Nancy

What is with your fixation on spell check?
    You sound like an idiot!

I am impressed with how much effort and time you put into your postings. Most people cant be bothered using spell check because they are just posting a comment or opinion. You on the other hand seem to take your writings as though they were some kind of editorials.

You know what I think? I think you write your post in word, then run spell check and edit any mistakes youve made and after that copy and paste your editorials online? Too much work for most people my dear. I feel sorry for you. Do yourself a favour and hide your f_cking spell check button, MORON.

“I’ve read a few of your posts and you seem like a very angry person. What’s up with you?”

I don’t know? Maybe try reading the ignorant comments from Karen(directed to me) above my comments.

So, because I stick up for myself and what I believe in, you think I should take ‘anger management classes’???? You must not have seen many ‘angry’ people in your life! But, you know what? I will admit this…I do tend to get defensive…always have, and I sometimes put more than one swear in a sentence! I always put my name on my postings though, instead of using ‘anonymous’! You have to give me credit for that one!!!!

As for the comment right above mine, how original!! Maybe you should join me in this so called ‘anger management class’. We can sit there and call each other a MORON!!!!!

  14. Karen • October 29, 2007 @ 4:40 AM

Yes, ‘people’ are ignorant in their own way. Its like saying natural disasters must happen for a reason? Well, what if its not natural but man-made?

  15. Nancy • October 29, 2007 @ 8:51 AM

Everything happens for a reason! Sad but true.
