Game of Thrones leads 2014 Emmy Awards

The nominees for the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards were announced this morning by The Voice host Carson Daly and The Mindy Project‘s writer, actress and executive producer Mindy Kaling. The nominations are the results of more than 16,000 voting members who filled out nominating ballots between June 9 and June 20.

HBO’s Game of Thrones leads the nominations with 19, followed closely behind by the new FX show Fargo, which earned 18 nominations. Garnering 17 nominations was another FX series – American Horror Story: Coven. Disappointingly, the Canadian-filmed Orphan Black was again snubbed – despite star Tatiana Maslany‘s Golden Globe nomination earlier this year.

Hosted by Seth Meyers, the Emmy Awards will be broadcast live on NBC on Monday, August 25 from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. A list of nominees is provided below.
