On Tuesday afternoon, Academy Award-winning actor Gene Hackman slapped a homeless man outside of a restaurant in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The Royal Tenenbaums star and his wife Betsy Arakawa were exiting the restaurant when a homeless man going by the name Bruce Becker approached the couple in a threatening manner. The situation escalated when Becker called Betsy a "c*nt" and in response, Hackman hit Becker. The 82-year-old actor’s wife, Betsy, is the co-owner of an upscale home furnishings store in Santa Fe, where the couple also have a home. Following the incident, it was Becker who called the police to report the alleged assault. After speaking with Hackman and his wife, police on the scene determined Hackman was acting in self-defense. No charges have been filed against either party. ~Brandon Bastaldo

How the heck is Gene Hackman 82 years old?
once again tribute posts a misleading headline to twist the reality of a story and potentially tarnish the innocent...your website and journalism are a joke and on the professional dignity scale tribute.ca maintains a score of zero
I remember a while ago Hackman got out of his car and hit a man. Hackman doesn't back down lol. And way to go for defending your woman Gene! Makes me proud you're Canadian. (Not that you're reading this).
@aj - what was misleading about the headline? It actually happened and did exactly what a media headline is supposed to do, which is to peak interest in the story.
