One of Hollywood’s most eligible bachelors, Gerard Butler, believes he has trouble finding love because of his father’s absence. Butler was raised by only his mother from the age of two and didn’t have any contact with his father until the age of 16.  He now believes this absence caused him to have a tough time with women. “I act very awkward when I am with women. Perhaps that’s because my mother brought me up alone. It is said that men who grow up without a father have a fear of commitment,” Butler told German magazine Joy. Despite his troubled childhood, the 40-year-old actor would like to start a family.  However, he admits that finding the right woman may be tough for him. Butler has been romantically linked in tabloids with several female stars.  However, Butler insists that most of the romance rumors have been false, adding that he finds it bizarre that he has a reputation as being a lady’s man.  Last year, it was reported that he was dating more than a dozen women, but he said only one was true. ~BUM Interactif

He SHOULD fear commitment! haha Finding the right woman would be tough, too many with alterior motives. If he wants to go down that road, find someone with their own money, and get a prenup. Don’t be a tool.

Sounds like he wants more attention by playing the “i had a rough life growing up so ill blame it on my childhood experiences” story to try and win more ladies over with his sob story. Grow some Ba**s and man up! Geeezzz!

Thibz, don’t think he needs to be doing that. I’m sure everywhere he goes, women are on him like white on rice.
