Gerard Butler has split from girlfriend Madalina Ghenea. The heartthrob has confirmed he is back on the market after dating the Romanian model for more than a year, but hopes he will eventually meet the right woman. Quizzed whether he was in a serious relationship, the star told German website Filmreporter.de: "Not at the moment. But at some point I do want to settle down." The couple began seeing each other in May 2012 after the 25-year-old beauty split from Hollywood hunk Leonardo DiCaprio. However, they had not been spotted together since April, suggesting their romance had hit the rocks.
Madalina previously said she was ready to settle down and start a family with Gerard, 43, calling him her "first true love." She said: "I'm ready to have children right now. I've always wanted a family, with many children and pets. Gerard's a great guy who knows how to do everything and I hope he will never change in any way."
