Girlfriend of Inglourious Basterds star files restraining order

Michael Fassbender in Inglourious BasterdsMichael Fassbender‘s girlfriend, Sunawin Andrews, has filed papers in Los Angeles County Superior Court to request a restraining order against the Inglourious Basterds star. The German-born actor played a British lieutenant in the movie. Andrews says she fears for her life after he broke her nose. According to the legal papers, she claims he was drunk from a night of partying at a film festival in 2009, and when he woke up in his own urine, became violent and “threw me over a chair breaking my nose.” She also claims that in an earlier incident, Fassbender dragged her beside his car after an argument about her ex-boyfriend. She says she was left with a twisted left ankle, a blown knee cap and a burst ovarian cyst. The restraining order requests that Fassbender stay at least 100 yards away from her and her two kids. She’s also requesting $20,000 to cover her medical bills.

Sounds like this guy tolerates alcohol about as well as that hamburger chomping David Hasslehoff.

Guys like this should be beaten so they can see what it feels like

Linda, read the article again. after each quote it says “she claims.” If he did do it he is a coward and should be beaten, however at this stage its just her filing a complaint…also if it happened in 2009 why did she make the claim in 2010?

I can hardly wait for the comments “claiming” it is all her fault.

tg – I think its all YOUR fault!!! lol jks

sounds like he has issues though – i guess we will have to wait and see! We wouldnt want to let the ‘court of public opinion’ get out of hand…right? 😉

I had an ovarian cyst and let me tell you that was painful!! Imagine someone constantly push broken glass into your abdomen. I was bed ridden for a week because there is nothing you can do but let your body try to reabsorb the cyst.

If Fassbender left her with a burst cyst I feel extremely sorry for her. It says she was dragged out of the car, but I do not see how she could have been well enough to do anything but then again we don’t have the full story.

Sunawin Andrews either attracts violent men or she likes to cry wolf. She’s done this before, so I’m thinking it’s the latter unfortunately.

trish, once youve been with an abusive man its easy to end up with another one. once your self esteem and spirit are broken youre liable to believe that you dont deserve any better so when the next guy beats you you arent as quick to leave or to file a complaint. women dont generally “cry wolf” and claim they were abused when they werent. just because she has claimed someone else has abused her doesnt mean she was lying in either instance. if this story does turn out to be true, i feel terrible for her. these celebs need to straighten up and start acting more like the role models they are trying to be. jerks.

Mandee, who ever said celebs are trying to be role models? I don’t think most take on that label themselves, it is given to them by fans who think they are somehow different than the rest of us.

  12. BizzyBody • March 26, 2010 @ 9:36 AM

He also LOOKS like the slimeball that he is.

  13. mandee • March 26, 2010 @ 5:06 PM

silver, youre right. but being in the public eye they know from before they even become celebrities that being a role model is going to play a big part in their lives. so why do things like beat your spouse, threaten anyone, rape or molest people etc? why not take on a healthy lifestyle that will make you look like a hero rather than a psychopath? knowing every move you make will be made public should be enough to keep men like this in line.

I hope that piece of paper works for her. This guy sounds like a maniac. If I were her I’d keep looking over my shoulder. As for these abuses as just being CLAIMS give me a break she did this to herself? This guy should be jailed and why he hasn’t been is beyond me.
