The nominees are in! Kate Beckinsale and Paula Patton announced The Golden Globes nominations this morning, adding buzz to the award season.
Birdman led the way with seven nods, including Best Film in a Comedy or Drama, Best Actor (Michael Keaton), Best Supporting Actress (Emma Stone) and Best Supporting Actor (Edward Norton). Foxcatcher also garnered a number of nominations including Best Supporting Actor for Mark Ruffalo and Best Actor for Steve Carell.
Other popular choices included Boyhood and TIFF favorite The Imitation Game.
Jennifer Aniston has cemented her presence this award season with another nomination for her portrayal in Cake. Rosamund Pike secured her first Golden Globe nod as the crazy and delusional Gone Girl.
New television favorites such as Orange is the New Black and The Normal Heart stole the spotlight in the comedy categories.
The Golden Globes will air on NBC January 11, 2015 with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler returning as hosts.
