Guy Ritchie admits Madonna marriage is over?

Madonna and Guy Ritchie in NYCGuy Ritchie has comes to terms with the fact that his marriage to Madonna is over, according to British paper The Mirror. The director traveled to New York, where Madonna is staying with their children, in a last ditch effort to save the marriage. Ritchie apparently told his wife he would be willing to relocate the family to NYC — which is something Madonna has always wanted to do. A source told The Mirror: “Guy did a lot of soul-searching after Madonna asked him for a divorce and thought he may be able to salvage the situation by agreeing to leave London full-time for the Big Apple. He knew it was a long shot but he will do anything to keep the family together. Yet no sooner had he told her than she said it wasn’t an option any more. It’s all very sad but Guy is now resigned to them living apart.” However, Madonna’s publicist Liz Rosenberg has insisted that the conversation did not take place, adding: “There’s no break-up or divorce plan and they live together when work allows them to.” Ritchie and Madonna have a seven-year-old son, Rocco, and recently adopted a boy, David. Madonna also has an 11-year-old daughter, Lourdes, from a previous relationship.

    say it ain’t so

Looks like this is the icing on Madonna’s mariage cake!

  3. Michelle • July 4, 2008 @ 10:10 AM

I never like hearing about a marriage breaking up. Especially when there are 3 kids in the mix. Hope they can work it out.

  4. Max • July 4, 2008 @ 10:36 AM

She’s cheating on him. I hope he takes her to the cleaners the silly cow! Guess the one thing you can’t control when you’ve everything you want, is your husband. It would serve her right if he wrote this horrible tattle-tale book about her and made millions. I’m routing for Guy!!!

  5. Guy Ritchie • July 4, 2008 @ 10:41 AM

Madge, we can work it out. Do it for our new son Lionel

It’s too bad about the break-up…I agree with Michelle, that break-ups are sad, especially when there are children involved. Those that say, she’s cheating or ‘take her to the cleaners’ are so off base. Let these people deal with the break-up/divorce like the rest of us. None of us know what happens behind closed doors, so stop the blaming and allow these people their time to heal and deal with the siutation, whatever that may be.

With everything that is being said about this it look’s to me that the marriage is over but like everyone they feel it’s no one’s business but their own and probably for the sake of their children they don’t want their problems soaring through the media to streach the story and make of it what they want. Hopefully for the sake of their family it is just gosip they look like such a good team…

At least Guy Richie is trying to fix it…but if they can’t I hope it’s not another Heather Mills and Paul McCartney BS…considering Madonna saw the same lawyer it looks serious…but that’s just what we hear and read…it might not be true…

There is no winners in this situation and incredibly sad for the kids, coming from someone going through the same thing.

I think Madonna’s a phony, putting on a British accent when she’s from New York. She has absolutely no talent. The only way she’s lasted this long is because she creates her own publicity by “shocking” the public.

When her kids grow up they are going to see what kind of a mother she really is. Guy Ritchie is better off without her.

Actually, the Skag is from Michigan. And I’m quite surprised she was able to remain married for THAT long. I guess it was due to the fact that they weren’t together full-time. I’m sure there are many gay men and pop bottles that will be quite happy to hear that she’s “single”…. She managed to single-handedly wreck the man’s reputation as a director and producer with her delusions of being an actress.

Madonna got to be where she is through years of hard work starting at the bottom. Her millions speak for her. She didn’t shatter Guy’s reputation and besides what reputation does he have? Guy is nothing without Madonna. She could have anyone she wants.

  13. Poppa John's in Exile • July 4, 2008 @ 6:04 PM

You’re right about her being on the bottom, that’s for sure!! She’s also been in the front, in the back and on the side. Even upside down, I’m sure.

When you say she could have anyone she wants, I’m assuming you are talking about her buying little black children like they are pets. Well, I guess you’re right on THAT one.
Guy Ritchie was a successful director and producer BEFORE he met her, and she turned him into MR. Madonna.
Gee, I guess you’re just totally correct there, Madonna’s Friend!!!

Have you ever seen the South Park episode about “Stupid Spoiled Whore” products when Paris tries to buy Butters and puts him in a bear suit?

THAT reminds me of Madonna’s “child purchase”!!

    LOL

  15. Jo-Anne • July 4, 2008 @ 7:26 PM

I could just cry a river for poor Guy who was “forced” into a relationship with Madonna. Get real. He has enjoyed being in the limelight with her, enjoyed her on her side, back, whatever position he wanted to be in with her and guess what – it was his choice. She didn’t turn him into anything he wasn’t already – unless he was so easily molded due to a weak character.

come on now, if he was such a GOOD director, it shouldn’t be hard to achieve that once again…he’ll manage to be (and that’s a big if)

  16. Poppa John's in Exile • July 4, 2008 @ 8:57 PM

    Hey Jo-Anne,

Snatch and Lock Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels were done BEFORE he married her and she used him as a re-entry into her failed acting bid.
But I DO suppose you think those films were shit, do you?
That would explain your love of Madonna’s mediocre voice. Not taking away what she’s done, but I WOULD compare her to Michael Jackson in the sense that she believes her own legend and is washed-up.
But hey, maybe she’ll find 2 more hot young blondes to kiss her on TV to keep her name in the news. I’m surprised she isn’t HIV positive!!

  17. Jo-Anne • July 4, 2008 @ 10:12 PM

well, Snatch I own and love, the other one I didn’t care for, since you asked.

Did I say I love Madonna’s voice? I don’t even care for her to be honest with you.

The only issue I took was your insistance Madonna forced Guy to somehow lose his successful career after he met her – by the way, those movies are a few years back…if he’s got it, he’s got it, time will tell

maybe he’ll come up with a masterpiece sans Madonna and hell will freeze over

  18. Poppa John's in Exile • July 4, 2008 @ 10:41 PM

Actually, all of his masterpieces ( 2 BEFORE Madge ) have been sans Madonna. It’s only the shit ones that she was in ( go figure..)
Hell WILL freeze over. It’s just a matter of time. Be patient….

The article states Madonna’s publicist insists there’s no breakup or divorce planned. So this news item is really about nothing.
If they are having problems I hardly think changing locale will keep the marriage on track lol.
Regarding Madonna’s Friend post..pls..she’s no prize. She has nothing to offer anyone but financial compensation for her time lol. Besides, nobody can keep Madonna’s interest for long. She’s too complex, fickle, emotionally unbalanced..

  20. Yvonne • July 5, 2008 @ 7:27 AM

Ditto to Poppa John and Arlenes comment, quote The only way shes lasted this long is because she creates her own publicity by shocking the public. Unquote. How true!

It baffles that she can make such a big icon, fame and wealth out of her controversial and marketing shticks such as her daring-you-not chutzpah blasphemy name, Madonna, her joking voice and just-okay-above-average look can still make such a big hoopla in her downhill prime time pertaining to her looming marriages. No talents but lucky, thats for sure.

Guy, go for it, more than 600 millions on stake you can wage on it and raise the kids on your own for their benefits, concentrate on your career and walk out the shadow of Mr. Madonna. Man, you are man and still the head of your house no matter how famous and popular she is. I wouldn’t pay one penny of her upcoming Vancouver tour show. There is no one single song, which can convince me she has talents on it, let alone of her voice!!!

  21. Jo-Anne • July 5, 2008 @ 8:46 AM

the “only reason she’s lasted this long”????

my God, people, you are delusional.

I wouldn’t attend any of her shows myself, but I can admit she’s done well in the entertainment industry.
    (well before Guy)

sad you refr to him as Mr. Madonna, I always thought of him as Guy Ritchie, a man deserving to stand on his own behind his own name.

  22. Nancy • July 5, 2008 @ 1:41 PM

Poppa John’s in Exile, LOL…I couldn’t have said it better myself! The old hag is riding the youngsters coattails to stay in the biz! Such as the blondes, Guy, Timberlake and Timbaland. Must be hard when you finally realize you’re old and crusty and the young crowd don’t want you anymore??

  23. Ashley • July 5, 2008 @ 2:48 PM

Getting divorced again?? Come on, he’s trying to save it!

  24. mlm • July 8, 2008 @ 9:38 AM

and failing miserably! face it this marriage is OVER! END OF STORY! she should accept old and crusty as that is what she is…the young crowd just isn’t that interested in her anymore…they want the young pregnant celebrities!

  25. Jo-Anne • July 8, 2008 @ 10:25 AM

    Old and crusty?
    Come on, look at her.
    tremendous shape for her age.

yes, I agree, the marriage appears to be over.
(according to the media who always get it right, eh?)

  26. Nancy • July 8, 2008 @ 11:02 AM

Wow! All these new people on here. The other day I said I thought I would get along quite well with Dinner & A Movie & Dinner and now I think the same with mlm. Yep! Madge is definately old and crusty!

  27. tammy • July 8, 2008 @ 11:29 AM

She might be old but she’s not crusty…I agree with Jo-Anne she looks good for her age…in fact she could even use some meat on her bones….

  28. Nancy • July 8, 2008 @ 12:18 PM

She could definately use some meat on her bones! I thought of that when I saw the other picture of her on here after this one, where she’s wearing the sunglasses….her face looks really sunk in! Maybe it’s all that kabbala water she drinks… 🙂

  29. Bluzulu • July 11, 2008 @ 4:56 AM

Madonna is a MEDIA WHORE plain and simple. She is not talented. She is a relentless, demanding, self centered narcissistic bitch. She used to sell her ass in front of a club in NY called Private Eyes and give blow jobs to rich Wall St. types. She’s a a straight up ho!

  30. Jo-Anne • July 28, 2008 @ 3:33 PM

what a pile of crap you’re spewing Bluzulu…
like YOU would be privy to such information had it existed, is a joke.
    you’re less than nothing.

Sorry for the husband, but good riddance, as far as I’m concerned she’s a washed up old talentless hag gadfly whose time has come and gone. Time to take out the TRASH, Madonna sucks and she always has. Let’s just hope she goes out with and into a tragic spiral akin to Judy Garland, now that would be a Madonna show that a lot of us would pay top dollar to see. Rather than her cheesy lackluster lounge act she’s been peddling for the last 25 years. Ditch the ridiculous Gibson Les Paul guitar prop you’re cavorting on stage with, take your middle age fat ass home, watch soap operas, and try to pretend you’re a mom.
