Pop singer Gwen Stefani made a big announcement that she has donated $1 million to help victims of the devastating Japan earthquake and tsunami. The L’Oreal spokesmodel’s donation will go to Save the Children’s Japan Earthquake-Tsunami Children in Emergency Fund. Those familiar with Stefani’s music and fashion line know the Japanese culture is close to her heart. She cited Japan and it’s fashion culture as a major influence on her music and even had a group of  Harajuku girls that performed with her on stage and attended press events. “I’ve been inspired by Japan for many years and have a true love, appreciation and respect for the Japanese people and their culture,” Stefani to UsWeekly. “The disaster in Japan is beyond heartbreaking, and I want to do anything I can to help. I would never be able to make a gesture like this without the love and support of all the fans over all these years,” she continued.
