Gwyneth Paltrow: Chris Martin ‘could do worse’ than Jennifer Lawrence

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin may have written the song, Fix You, for Gwyneth Paltrow, but it would take more than music to fix their marriage after “conscious uncoupling” in March 2014. The respective parties have since moved on, and it looks like the singer’s new date, Hunger Games star, Jennifer Lawrence, got the a-okay from his ex-wife. According to an anonymous source close to Gwyneth, the actress’ “take is, ‘Hey, he could do worse,'” which isn’t exactly a ringing endorsement of the celebrity couple, nor is it the most flattering compliment Jennifer has received, but hey, Gwyneth could have been more antagonistic. Quite the contrary, the source added, “She just wants him to be happy.”

One reason Gwyneth, 41, might be able to curb her bitterness is that she found a squeeze of her own: Glee co-creator Brad Falchuk, whom the actress met while filming a guest appearance on the hit musical TV series in 2010. Chris and Jennifer started dating after her split from actor Nicholas Hoult. For Chris’ part, he continues to have a peaceful relationship with Gwyneth. In a July radio interview, he said of his ex, “We’re friends and proud parents. There’s lots of love, and that’s it.” ~Daniel Horowitz
