Harry Potter actor arrested on drug charges

Harry Potter actor Jamie Waylett, 19, who plays Vincent Crabbe in the movies, has been arrested after police allegedly discovered £2,000 ($3,600 CAD) worth of marijuana growing in his bedroom. Waylett was pulled over while driving an Audi in London last week. Police reportedly discovered eight bags of marijuana in the car and arrested Waylett, along with his passenger, according to The Daily Telegraph. Police later raided the actor’s family home, where he lives with his mother and three siblings, and allegedly found ten marijuana plants. “Both men have been bailed to a date in July pending further inquiries and tests on the substances,” said a police spokesman. Waylett has appeared in all the Harry Potter movie adaptations as a sidekick to Harry’s nemesis, Draco Malfoy. ~movi_alex.

It’ll probably hurt his career. Harry Potter is the only thing that’s going for him. He’s ugly as poo, so he won’t get any hype from this stunt.

I really don’t see the big deal here. It’s not like he was using heroin or anything. It’s just pot, people.
Of course he’s going to have 3200$ worth of pot if he grows his own. Does anyone honestly beleive that he needs the extra cash. Come on people grow up he simply planted his own so that he wouldn’t need to find Drug dealers to buy his stuff from. He’s 19 years old and rich. So he doesn’t need to be a Drug dealer.
I wouldn’t go as far as saying “he’s rich”. There are many people out there who earn a good living and still grow and/or sell drugs. The more people get, the more they want. There is another problem here as well though, this guy is growing dope in a home where children are present and his mother can claim she didn’t know anything about it until she’s blue in the face but when all 10 of those plants were on bud, (and they were on bud at one point if he had 8 bags of it in his car) she definately smelled it in that house. I just saw something on the news the other night about how there is a big problem with people having grow-ops in their homes and children are present. People are losing their kids. These homes are dangerous…what with the fumes and spidermites and some homes have had the owners messing with the wiring, making them a major fire hazard.
The children were going to school with bites on them from the infestation of spidermites and even had eggs layed under their skin…EWWW!
Agreed Nancy. We should be growing pot outside the home. Problems solved.
Spidermites? You can get that from ANY household plant. I recommend a good pesticide. But then again, you don’t want your kids munching on the leaves after spraying them. I’m sure your home is very childproof. How about allowing just the single households to smoke? 🙂
to “The Bizz”, well, I’m sure this will be quite a surprise to you, but not everybody in this world is dealing in dope. Surprise!
A woman who owned a plant shop told me a cheap and very effective way to get totally rid of spider mites on plant. Wrap plastic or tin foil around the base of the stem, covering the dirt in the plant pot to keep it from falling out. Turn entire plant with pot upside down and immerse in luke warm sink of water with dishsoap. Swish submerged plant around in the dishsoapy water for a couple of minutes. Take it out and remove plastic or foil and ……….presto…no more spidermites. It works, I’ve done it.
WHAT!!! So I threw out my aloe plant, when I could have saved it!
Well demigod, if by saying you’re sure my home is very childproof you mean I don’t have drugs, you’re absolutely right! As for spidermites, I’m quite aware that they can get on any plant but pesticides on marijuana plants is not a very good idea, neither is submerging it upside down into soapy water, LOL. As for growing the plants outside…very dangerous for society, considering the growers like to set bear traps around their crops.

Oooooh…jealous much? My “expertise” as you call it, is just my opinion. I never at any point claimed to be an expert, did I? And actually Jo-Anne, I’ve done plenty today. A little yard work, the kids and I washed the car, baked cookies and muffins with my daughter, laundry, pile of mail, and even had time for my 10 minutes on Tribute! Now, I just finished hiding chocolate eggs and gifts all over my house. You see, we don’t all subscribe to 16 magazines and attend every Springsteen concert. I do my thing…you do yours. I do a great job as a single mom, but thanks for your concern. 😛
I’m down to 12 now…you may want to change your “Jo stats…”!!!!

Carol Brady is before my time and I don’t have to copy her stuff. You seem pretty envious of me that I can raise my kids all by myself. I mean, you bring up my children and what I do with my time on quite a few articles here. Rest assured Jo-Anne, my kids are well taken care of. Frankly, I think it’s supremely trivial to pick apart a person’s life and question if they’re using their time wisely.
I mean, what’s it to you? Why do you care? Why did you even bring it up?
As for me, I wanted to see the showtimes at my theater before starting work there today. And I happened to click on this article out of interest, and happened to read the arguement between you two, and decided to take 5 minutes to comment myself cuz you’re a bully. I don’t like bullies.
