Jamie WaylettHarry Potter actor Jamie Waylett, 19, who plays Vincent Crabbe in the movies, has been arrested after police allegedly discovered £2,000 ($3,600 CAD) worth of marijuana growing in his bedroom. Waylett was pulled over while driving an Audi in London last week. Police reportedly discovered eight bags of marijuana in the car and arrested Waylett, along with his passenger, according to The Daily Telegraph. Police later raided the actor’s family home, where he lives with his mother and three siblings, and allegedly found ten marijuana plants. “Both men have been bailed to a date in July pending further inquiries and tests on the substances,” said a police spokesman. So he’s a bad guy in real life too?
Wonder if this will hurt or help his career.

  2. Lovebug • April 8, 2009 @ 4:04 PM

It’ll probably hurt his career. Harry Potter is the only thing that’s going for him. He’s ugly as poo, so he won’t get any hype from this stunt.

  3. Coop • April 8, 2009 @ 7:23 PM

Grow up tribute girl, not everyone who smokes pot is a “bad guy”.

  4. Nancy • April 8, 2009 @ 7:44 PM

So, 10 plants and 8 bags is “personal use”? Drug dealers ARE bad guys!

  5. tributegirl • April 8, 2009 @ 7:46 PM

Grow up Coop, that’s not what I said. He’s a “dealer”, not just a “user”.

  6. Honest Phil • April 8, 2009 @ 8:50 PM

This is what happens to those who join those evil Harold potter cults

  7. The Bizz • April 9, 2009 @ 1:00 AM

I really don’t see the big deal here. It’s not like he was using heroin or anything. It’s just pot, people.

  11. Frank • April 9, 2009 @ 12:18 PM

Of course he’s going to have 3200$ worth of pot if he grows his own. Does anyone honestly beleive that he needs the extra cash. Come on people grow up he simply planted his own so that he wouldn’t need to find Drug dealers to buy his stuff from. He’s 19 years old and rich. So he doesn’t need to be a Drug dealer.

  12. Nancy • April 9, 2009 @ 4:57 PM

I wouldn’t go as far as saying “he’s rich”. There are many people out there who earn a good living and still grow and/or sell drugs. The more people get, the more they want. There is another problem here as well though, this guy is growing dope in a home where children are present and his mother can claim she didn’t know anything about it until she’s blue in the face but when all 10 of those plants were on bud, (and they were on bud at one point if he had 8 bags of it in his car) she definately smelled it in that house. I just saw something on the news the other night about how there is a big problem with people having grow-ops in their homes and children are present. People are losing their kids. These homes are dangerous…what with the fumes and spidermites and some homes have had the owners messing with the wiring, making them a major fire hazard.

  13. Nancy • April 9, 2009 @ 4:58 PM

The children were going to school with bites on them from the infestation of spidermites and even had eggs layed under their skin…EWWW!

  14. demigod • April 9, 2009 @ 7:45 PM

Agreed Nancy. We should be growing pot outside the home. Problems solved.
Spidermites? You can get that from ANY household plant. I recommend a good pesticide. But then again, you don’t want your kids munching on the leaves after spraying them. I’m sure your home is very childproof. How about allowing just the single households to smoke? 🙂

  15. tributegirl • April 9, 2009 @ 8:49 PM

to “The Bizz”, well, I’m sure this will be quite a surprise to you, but not everybody in this world is dealing in dope. Surprise!

  16. Minerva • April 10, 2009 @ 12:39 AM

A woman who owned a plant shop told me a cheap and very effective way to get totally rid of spider mites on plant. Wrap plastic or tin foil around the base of the stem, covering the dirt in the plant pot to keep it from falling out. Turn entire plant with pot upside down and immerse in luke warm sink of water with dishsoap. Swish submerged plant around in the dishsoapy water for a couple of minutes. Take it out and remove plastic or foil and ……….presto…no more spidermites. It works, I’ve done it.

  17. tributegirl • April 10, 2009 @ 10:18 AM

WHAT!!! So I threw out my aloe plant, when I could have saved it!

  18. Nancy • April 10, 2009 @ 9:26 PM

Well demigod, if by saying you’re sure my home is very childproof you mean I don’t have drugs, you’re absolutely right! As for spidermites, I’m quite aware that they can get on any plant but pesticides on marijuana plants is not a very good idea, neither is submerging it upside down into soapy water, LOL. As for growing the plants outside…very dangerous for society, considering the growers like to set bear traps around their crops.

Hahaha, just found a funny 30 second or so video pertaining to growing marijuana in the home. Click on my blue name on this comment.

  20. Nancy • April 11, 2009 @ 5:05 PM

Sorry…don’t click on my name on the above comment. I forgot to change it. 😛 Click on this one, LOL.

  21. Jo-Anne • April 11, 2009 @ 5:56 PM

oh my God, Nancy, like we don’t have all day…get it right next time! ha ha

I am so so so impressed at your expertise in – let’s see now, marijuana growing tips, mental illnesses, offender laws, profanity…gosh, this list just keeps on “growing”…

how do you ever find time to visit this website 3,000 times a day?

  22. Nancy • April 11, 2009 @ 10:35 PM

Oooooh…jealous much? My “expertise” as you call it, is just my opinion. I never at any point claimed to be an expert, did I? And actually Jo-Anne, I’ve done plenty today. A little yard work, the kids and I washed the car, baked cookies and muffins with my daughter, laundry, pile of mail, and even had time for my 10 minutes on Tribute! Now, I just finished hiding chocolate eggs and gifts all over my house. You see, we don’t all subscribe to 16 magazines and attend every Springsteen concert. I do my thing…you do yours. I do a great job as a single mom, but thanks for your concern. 😛

  23. Jo-Anne • April 12, 2009 @ 9:04 AM

I’m down to 12 now…you may want to change your “Jo stats…”!!!!

    EVERY Springsteen concert…man, I wish….

p.s. did you copy and paste this excerpt from the Carol Brady Journal?

  24. Nancy • April 12, 2009 @ 10:41 AM

Carol Brady is before my time and I don’t have to copy her stuff. You seem pretty envious of me that I can raise my kids all by myself. I mean, you bring up my children and what I do with my time on quite a few articles here. Rest assured Jo-Anne, my kids are well taken care of. They really enjoyed their egg hunt this morning and all the gifts they received. Later, we will go spend time with Grandma and Grandpa and the rest of the family. Check back in with you later. Hey, this describing every movement is kinda like Twitter, isn’t it? LMAO!

  25. Jo-Anne • April 12, 2009 @ 12:42 PM

well, I must admit it is a page out of a “TYPICAL Mom With Kiddie’s Easter”…

    A.M. Egg hunt…Tribute rant…open Easter gifts…Tribute rant…lunch…Tribute rant…watch movie with kids….Tribute rant…Visit grandparents…Tribute rant (thank God dad bought that computer)…put kids to bed…Tribute rant…..

  26. Nancy • April 12, 2009 @ 9:18 PM

I bought my own laptop thanks for your concern though. Someone’s jealous that I can raise my kids alone….and do a great job of it. Hahaha.

  27. Jo-Anne • April 13, 2009 @ 8:39 AM

switch the “jealousy” word for “concerned”…
    now you got it right…

  28. Angie • April 13, 2009 @ 9:47 AM

Jo-Anne, there’s nothing wrong with Nancy expressing her opinion online, nor is there a limit on how many articles she can comment on.

That’s what this comment section below the article is for. For people to share their opinion, insight, and knowledge.

  29. Angie • April 13, 2009 @ 9:53 AM

Frankly, I think it’s supremely trivial to pick apart a person’s life and question if they’re using their time wisely.

I mean, what’s it to you? Why do you care? Why did you even bring it up?

As for me, I wanted to see the showtimes at my theater before starting work there today. And I happened to click on this article out of interest, and happened to read the arguement between you two, and decided to take 5 minutes to comment myself cuz you’re a bully. I don’t like bullies.

  30. Jo-Anne • April 13, 2009 @ 9:58 AM

oh, I’m well aware Nancy has no limits, Angie, thanks…

  31. Nancy • April 13, 2009 @ 2:14 PM

    Ok, so in my comment:

“Someone’s jealous that I can raise my kids alone…and do a great job of it. Hahaha”

Let’s change it up as Jo-Anne says and “switch the jealousy word for concerned”.

So, now we have “Someone’s concerned that I can raise my kids alone…and do a great job of it. Hahaha”. Hmmm…makes about as much sense as any of her comments!

Thanks Angie, nice to see someone see’s it from my point of view. You really are a breath of fresh air.
