Harry Potter star Rupert Grint has confirmed that the London studio where many scenes from the movies were filmed is going to be turned into a tourist attraction. Grint, who plays Ron Weasley in the popular films, told fans at a meet-and-greet event in London on Monday that Leavesden Studio will be turned into a theme park. With the success of Universal’s The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando and the traveling attraction Harry Potter: The Exhibition, it seems fans can’t get enough. He said, “We [cast members] used to write on the walls and they’re actually re-creating and turning the studio in an attraction, actually re-creating all the rooms so you can go in them.” Now that the final film has wrapped, Grint was hoping to take a few souvenirs. He admitted that he swiped the original number ’4′ that hung on the Dursley’s door, where Harry grew up in Little Whinging. He said he also tried to take one of the huge golden dragon eggs used in The Goblet of Fire but got caught and had to return it.

I would love to go see that. I saw Harry Potter the Exhibition and my next goal is the park in Orlando, that looks beyond amazing!
I’d like to hear more about it first – the one in Florida sounds way cooler but then again, it’s a recreation whereas this would be actually where they filmed it all.
I have been to the park in Universal Studios Orlando and it is one of the coolest places I have ever been. If the chance was to present its self I would definatly go to this attraction.
I wanna go to Orlando to see the Wizarding World of Harry Potter so bad! Hey Brady, did you drink butterbeer? What was it like?
I just got back last night from the wizarding world of harry potter in orlando and it was amazing! so much fun, I would definitely suggest everyone who’s a harry potter fan to see it! and butterbeer is delicious, it’s kind of like a float I had so many. They also have things like pumpkin juice.
if this theme park in england is made I will definitely be there
