Harry Potter theme park in works

A Harry Potter theme park, named The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, is set to open in 2009 at the Universal Orlando Resort in Florida. The park will have rides based on places found in the books and films, such as Hogwarts and Hogsmeade. Author J.K. Rowling told the BBC: “The plans I’ve seen look incredibly exciting, and I don’t think fans of the books or films will be disappointed.” Stuart Craig, in charge of heading up the park’s creative design, said: “Our primary goal is to make sure this experience is an authentic extension of Harry Potter’s world as it is portrayed in the books and films.” The next film in the series, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, opens July 13th.
Do we really need a Harry Potter theme park? Rowling is already getting way too much money anyway. And will she be getting more, every time a person goes on one of the rides there? This is just not right.
Trust the Americans to cash in to a UK Franchise …

Can’t wait! And I’m not even that huge of a harry potter fan! It was Rowling’s hard work that got her that money, so I think she deserves it
I’m so excited for this and i agree with nikki, and it’s not the americans fault that a british person didn’t come up with idea first
For anyone who is a Harry Potter fan, this is absolute a must. Being able to experience Hogwarts in 3D, and walk through Hogsmeade brings the added sense of touch and allows us to experience the imagination of J.K. Rowling to it’s fullest. For those that don’t get it, try to remember when you were a kid and had an imagination.
