Jerry Bruckheimer brought along high profile friends such as Jon Voight, Tom Cruise and Isla Fisher to celebrate his Hollywood Walk of Fame star. The filmmaker unveiled the 2, 501st pavement plaque yesterday (June 24). Johnny Depp, who collaborated with Jerry on blockbuster hits like the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise and The Lone Ranger, gave a speech in honor of the 67-year-old. “I have a lot to thank him for,” Johnny said. “This man is a legend to me, a legend to us all, hence this congregation to celebrate him for his long-deserved star on the Walk of Fame.” Jerry began producing in the 1970s and has produced over 40 feature films, easily making him one of the most successful film producers of all time with credits such as Flashdance, Top Gun and Black Hawk Down to his name. Conquering the film industry wasn’t enough  — Jerry branched out into television, creating CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and producing The Amazing Race. At the ceremony in Hollywood, Jerry called the star an “unbelievable honor” and joked, “I won’t get too big-headed, though, because the list also includes Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse and the Three Stooges.” ~Naomi Leanage
