Howie Mandel reportedly called the police a few nights ago to report a sexual assault taking place in his bathroom. As it turns out, it was just a couple celebrating the fourth of July. While hosting an Independence Day party at his home in California two nights ago, the Canadian comedian overheard what he deemed to be a potential sexual assault from behind the bathroom door. He immediately notified the authorities, only to have them turn up and produce a happy - if a bit embarrassed -  couple, who had reportedly consumed a good deal of alcohol and had been sharing a consensual, intimate encounter. The young couple, both 21 and whose names have not been released, told the cops that they had simply gotten carried away and were sent on their way. Mandel is currently appearing  as a judge on America's Got Talent, which airs Tuesdays on NBC. ~Devin Garabedian

What a schmuck and a coward... thinks a woman is being attacked and instead of intervening before things got ugly, he calls the cops and let's it progress until they arrive.

You guys are crazy. It doesn't say he didn't knock, or yell or anything. Myabe the music was loud, door was locked, they didn't answer? Better to be embarrassed than have someone getting violated and then press charges at your own party. Better safe than sorry, anyone? Besides, it was a party - get a room!
