Though he was the host of last year’s Academy Awards, Hugh Jackman was not a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. At least, not yet. He is one of this year’s invitees, along with Anne Hathaway, who joined him in a musical performance during the ceremony. Among the 134 people on the invitation list to join the prestigious organization are James Franco, Michael Cera, Seth Rogan, Paul Rudd, Viola Davis, Taraji P. Henson, Melissa Leo, Tyler Perry, Danny Boyle and Michael Shannon. Academy president Sid Ganis said: “These filmmakers have, over the course of their careers, captured the imagination of audiences around the world. It’s this kind of talent and creativity that make up the Academy, and I welcome each of them to our ranks.” As members, they’ll be allowed to vote for Oscar nominees and attend official functions.

Really? Michael Cera?… really?
actually feel Cera is way more “deserving” than Hathaway, Rudd or Rogan…maybe even one or two more on The List…
»GREAT news,indeed. 🙂
