Hugh Jackman revealed recently that he accidentally stabbed a stuntwoman with his Wolverine metal claws while filming the first X-Men film. He said: “On the very first film we had real metal claws and the girl who was playing Mystique, Rebecca Romijn, her stunt double and I were doing a fight sequence in the Statue of Liberty. I went to stab her in the arm, which was part of the choreography, and she’s meant to move her arm away and she forgot and the thing went right into her arm, like an inch. I was stunned. It was one of those things, it was so deep, there was a hole, there was no blood coming out and then like a minute later, it was like a geyser. I didn’t faint and I thought she was going to freak out, but she just said, ‘Yes! I have been stabbed by Wolverine!’ Typical stuntwoman.” Jackman says since then, the claws have been revised and are no longer made of metal. His latest movie, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, opens in theaters May 1. ~movi_alex

yeah thatd suck if he was supposed to stab her in the face or something! man oh man. shouldnt they have thought that it was possible to accidentally stab someone if they were made of real metal? wouldnt it have been cheaper for them to make them with something else as well? the movie crews really need to spend some more time thinking about the safety of these actors that work for them. imagine if that happened in a normal work place? how much trouble the manager would be in? lol
well it was pretty stupid of them to make the claws from real metal.
well didn’t you hear about what happened on the set of the punisher movie from 4 yrs back? thomas jane stabbed kevin nash the guy who played the big russian with a real knife. it went in about 3 inchs. the stunt coordinator forgot to switch knives. remember brandon lee? he was killed onset of the crow with a real shotgun. this is nothing new
