The Oscars proved to be a great night for film, but how did the box office hold up against it? Identity Thief is back on top in the No. 1 spot this week with an estimated $14.1 million and 3.5 stars from Tribute.ca readers. In its first week out, Dwayne Johnson’s action film Snitch grabbed $13 million and 4.6 stars out of a possible 5 to capture second place. In third, the animated movie Escape from Planet Earth is filled with an ensemble cast that helped earn $11 million, as well as 4 stars. The movie adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ book Safe Haven trailed by a bit with $10.6 million and a 4.4 star reading. Bruce Willis’ new addition to the Die Hard franchise, A Good Day to Die Hard, added another $10 million and also received 3.4 stars, but unfortunately dropped from first to fifth place.

I was so disappointed in Die Hard movie. I think Snitch might be a good one to see.
