Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit kicks off this week’s new releases

Whether you like comedy, horror, drama or action, there’s a movie for you to watch this weekend. Chris Pine takes on the big screen as a crime-fighting secret agent in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, opening everywhere today. Funny guy Kevin Hart must wow his girlfriend’s detective brother (Ice Cube) in order to prove himself in Ride Along, also opening wide. If you feel like having a good scare, then Devil’s Due is the movie for you. A newlywed couple has to deal with an early pregnancy that goes terribly wrong is this horror flick. Also opening today is The Nut Job, a family-friendly comedy about a mischievous squirrel’s quest to set things right after being banished from the park. Will Arnett, Brendan Fraser, Katherine Heigl and more lend their voices to this film’s furry cast. Set for limited release in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver is The Invisible Woman. This Academy Award-nominee for Best Costume Design brings to the big screen the story of Charles Dickens’ secret mistress. Another film in limited release is Big Bad Wolves, a thriller about three men forced onto a collision course after a string of brutal murders.
