Long before he married Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher was dating an aspiring young actress named January Jones. She told the November issue of GQ magazine: “[He] was not supportive of my acting. He was like, ‘I don’t think you’re going to be good at this.’ So — f**k you! He only has nice things to say now — if anything, I should thank him. Because the minute you tell me I can’t do something, that’s when I’m most motivated.” Jones received a Golden Globe nomination earlier this year for her starring role on the hit series Mad Men . She has also appeared in films such as Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights and We Are Marshall.

Maybe he was trying to motivate her…? Or, maybe he was playing Mr. Macho, like, “I can do it but I don’t think you will be able to do it.” She was the one he said it to and was right there when he said it so, I’m guessing she got the right impression of how he was saying it.
maybe he was trying to motivate her. i think you could be right. i know when i do things, i do a better job and work harder at it when someone says they dont think i can do it. i am a very hard person to get motivated, its not that im lazy lol its that i dont think i can do it good enough, or im afraid of whatever it is that i want. for instance, when i got my drivers license, i ALWAYS wanted it but i was afraid to drive. then my best friend at the time decided she was getting hers and since it was a spur of the moment kind of thing with her i decided she was not going to have something i wanted when she just randomly thought it was a good idea. so we both went and i got mine, she failed her written test like 10 times lol. she still doesnt have hers and its going on 5 years since i got mine! it either has to be a competition or someone has to tell me i CANT do it for me to want to bad enough to actually DO it. have a great day, heading to work !
oops, by the way, my point was…if he was dating her, he would have known that about her so im sure he did it just to get her motivated.
