Joaquin Phoenix wanted for Batman vs Superman film

According to a report in showbiz mag Variety, Warner Bros. is extremely interested in casting Joaquin Phoenix in the upcoming superhero movie Batman vs. Superman as the main villain, which rumor says will be Lex Luthor. Zack Snyder will be directing the upcoming Batman vs. Superman, which will find Henry Cavill recreating his role as Superman, the role he played in Man of Steel, with Ben Affleck taking on the role of Batman. Israeli actress Gal Gadot has been cast as Wonder Woman. Joaquin next appears in Her, which opens in limited release this Friday and goes wide January 10, 2013. Filming for Batman vs. Superman is scheduled to begin next year in Michigan and is expected to hit theaters July 17, 2015.

Netflix has plenty of new offerings in June 2023, including new seasons of hit shows such as The Witcher, plus the film Extraction 2 starring Chris Hemsworth.
The question is, does Mr. Phoenix even want to be in a movie like this? He’s mostly an actor in independent movies like the kind that he was in last year (The Master) and is mostly content with those. He may not care about being Lex Luthor at all.
I’d suggest going with somebody who’s already bald most of the time I’ve sen him, like Billy Zane or Vin Disel.
That IS a better choice. Won’t be seeing this one with affleck at all until its a 5$ dvd or LESS. And his directorial movie that I cannot remember, sucked…both of them.
Wait, but Affleck played Superman in Hollywoodland…now I’m just confused.
