Josh Hutcherson caught buying alcohol underage

By Tribute on May 2, 2012 | 4 Comments

Sorry Peeta, Katniss can’t save you from this one. 19 year-old The Hunger Games star Josh Hutcherson is in trouble after being photographed buying alcohol at a California grocery store. Since the legal drinking age in the United States is 21, he’s believed to have used a fake ID to purchase the $170 bottle of whiskey. Despite his celebrity status the store says in a statement that had they known his real age, they wouldn’t have sold him the alcohol. “We strictly enforce all laws relating to the sale of alcohol to minors. We will investigate these allegations and take any steps necessary.” If prosecuted, he could face up to six months in prison. Hutcherson isn’t the only Hunger Games star in trouble for underage drinking — Alexander Ludwig (also 19) was recently kicked out of a California nightclub. ~Kyle Sharp

Really, why not get your agent or PR to buy you a whole case?

If you are old enough to vote and go to war for your country, you should be old enough for a drink. Sorry but age laws for drinking are a$$backwards. Josh come on up to Alberta, I’ll buy you a drink
