New York City police officials say Academy Award-nominated actress Julianne Moore has been robbed of jewelry worth more than $127 K. The theft took place between June 6 and August 28, while the Emmy Award winner was having her six bedroom Manhattan brownstone home renovated. According to the the police report, during this time anywhere between 15 and 25 construction hands were working on Moore's $12.5 million dollar abode. The New York Times reports that three permits for interior renovation and plumbing work were filed with the New York City's Buildings Department in July and since then, workers have had full access to the home Moore occupies with her two children and husband, director Bart Freundlich. ABC News says seven of the 10 items stolen were from world-renowned company Cartier. Moore’s stolen goods include four Cartier watches, which have a combined value of $77,800, as well as a $33,000 Cartier platinum diamond tennis bracelet. Moore, who recently received an Emmy for her role as former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin in the HBO movie Game Change, was away working on a film at during the time of the theft. ~Brandon Bastaldo

She won't miss it. She can buy new stuff.
That's not the point....they may have been gifts that marked special occassions in her life...like the birth of a child or a milestone birthday.
Don't care. Ooooo they were made by Cartier blah blah blah...if she can afford them and leaves them out, then tough luck....buy more.

if god forbid either of you get robbed, i hope you don't expect anyone to feel sorry for you. the fact that she has the money to replace the items, and infact they are probably insured, is moot. She trusted these people to come into her home and do the required work without having to fear they would steal from her. These companies have obviously hired at least 1 thief and they better find them before their reputations are ruined.
Theft is not fun for the person it happens to. Doesn't matter what was stolen or who it was that was robbed. It still horrible
In the grand scheme of things, it's trivial. Material is excactly that, meterial. Life and love is what matters, not jewelry. 12.5 millions for the house, I think she'll live.
I would be upset if it was an heirloom from family that wasn't replaceable, but insurance will cover this stuff.
