Justin Bieber apologizes for honoring war criminals

By Tribute on April 24, 2014 | 11 Comments

Justin Bieber has apologized for a visit to a Japanese war shrine that honors convicted war criminals this week, explaining he thought it was a beautiful site and only a place of prayer. Justin, 20, posted a picture of himself and a friend visiting Tokyo’s Yasukuni Shrine with the caption, “Thank you for you blessings.” The picture was deleted, and in a new Instagram post Justin tried to explain himself by saying, “While in Japan I asked my driver to pull over for which I saw a beautiful shrine. I was mislead to think the Shrines were only a place of prayer. To anyone I have offended I am extremely sorry. I love you China and I love you Japan.” The Yasukuni Shrine honors 2.5 million war dead, including 14 convicted war criminals, and also operates as a war museum that defends Japanese military aggression. China and South Korea see it as a symbol of Japan’s past militarism and consider visits there as a lack of remorse over historical events.

Only a year ago, his comment after visiting the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam landed him in trouble. The comment read, “Truly inspiring to be able to come here. Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a belieber.” ~Alexandra Sharova

this kid is unbelievably dumb! He can’t articulate, he can’t spell, and I think he’ll do anything to put forth his “gangsta” image. I’m not so sure he was “misled”…what a dope!

Annette/Cecilia….. are you as dumb as Beiber?

As if there’s a sign in plain english that says “worship war criminals here”.

Why would that dumb country build a shrine for them in the first place.

I wish people would stop going on about the Yasukuni memorial. The shrine honours war dead. Yes, convicted war criminals have their names there but paying respect to the other 2.499 million others should be done without guilt. Japanese atrocities are as heinous as German war crimes at that time and no different than any other war crime perpetrated by many others. China should closely examine it’s own policies over the last 70 years as should Russia and many many more. Leave Bieber alone. Here is a kid feigning ignorance only to cover up another perceived mistake. If it was any other person, it would have been ignored completely. For those that scream he should have gotten an education, perhaps this visit will allow him to see and judge for himself instead of taking the word of those that have probably never fought and for that matter probably never paid respects to any military cemetery. How else can a person learn? He has my respect in this matter

Lifestyles of the rich and clueless. Japan has a LOT of shrines, but as usual the Bieber Buffoon Roadshow falls into the same old instagram idiot moments…so much for polishing that image Biebs.
