Justin Bieber feels like a ‘zoo animal’

By Tribute on May 12, 2016 | 12 Comments

justin-bieberJustin Bieber‘s lyric “Don’t forget that I’m human” from his 2015 track “I’ll Show You” is particularly pertinent as the singer is now claiming he feels “like a zoo animal” from all the photos he’s asked to take with fans.

The Canadian pop-star took to Instagram not to reveal his bare behind or new face tattoo, but instead to make a declaration.

Justin posted a photo of a typed-out statement, which says he’s “done taking pictures” with fans in order to keep his “sanity.”

The text also contains the following: “I don’t owe anybody a picture…It doesn’t say in fine print whenever you see me you also get a photo.”

Fans swiftly responded with both support and outrage.

One angered individual called Justin a “douche,” to which he replied, “If you think setting boundaries is being a douche I’m the biggest douche around but I think it’s smart and will be the only way I last.”

This no-photo policy that the “Sorry” singer has adopted comes two months after he announced his decision to cancel all future meet-and-greets with fans, a choice he also made public via Instagram.

Justin is in the headlines for a different reason today as well. While on a break from performing in Boston as part of his Purpose World Tour, he was spotted walking through a park barefoot, casually pausing to feed curious squirrels. His security team was following him from a distance.

Following the Boston leg of his tour, the 22-year-old sensation will head to Canada. He has concerts scheduled in Ottawa, Quebec City, Montreal and Toronto this month, while his June stops include Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton and Saskatoon.

When someone is thrown into the spotlight at a young age, a lot of their normalicy & freedom is taken away. This can be overwhelming… too much too soon. I think it would a healthy thing for him to take a break at this point & get his bearings back.

I agree. He’s been famous for about five years and every day of that he’s been hounded by people who want photos of him. He shouldn’t have to pose like he’s a mascot at an amusement park. Imagine if you were trying to live your life and everywhere you went, people pointed at you and then stopped you for a photo or to talk to you. If they’re really his fans, they should have some respect for his privacy and emotional well being.

Hmmmm anyone remember Elvis. Fans didn’t leave him alone either.

If he doesn’t like it he should stop being an exhibitionist and stop his erratic behaviours … he goes about with extreme behaviours – throwing eggs at a neighbours home, urinating in public, racing his expensive cars, generally making a fool of himself in public and complaining because he is so rich collecting millions of dollars but he is never satisfied. Of course, you are hounded by people because wherever you go you exhibit erratic behaviour and follow you to see what extreme you will go to next. Why don’t you just go to a quiet place and relax and study your life and what you have created. I am a proud Canadian and quite frankly, you are an embarrassment – if you didn’t create scenes people wouldn’t follow you – they are looking for our next erratic behaviours and can’t believe that you would go around doing those things and then complain that people are following you. You cant have it both ways! You embarrass Canada wherever you go. Stop your bad behaviors – step aside – count all your millions and find a quiet place to go over your “career” and apologize to all Canadians for the bad publicity you have generated for us. Bye bye.

    Boo hoo

He’s an embarrassment. Hopefully he grows up soon or goes into hiding. His fame has gone on long enough.

He’s not a zoo animal? He sure acts like one.

Surely tribute.ca could have found a more current photo of the subject with his new cool facial tattoo…?

Seriously Bernice, where have you been. His so called “bad” behaviours are done and over with. He made several VERY public apologies in several capacities asking for forgiveness for his recent behaviour and trying to explain what happened.
What 18/19 year old hasn’t urinated in public when drunk, thrown eggs or raced cars? BTW what other star do you know who has done that?

It just happens that EVERYTHING Justin does is made public and the media makes a HUGE deal of it like they do with everything. If they weren’t blowing everything out of proportion and making it extreme, no one would listen.

The public takes certain freedoms when they see someone famous. They think it’s appropriate to interrupt their meal or outing. Would you do that to someone not famous? No, that would be rude and inconsiderate.

Step back people, you have no right to invade his personal space. It sounds like they just expect him to pose and smile pretty for the picture and he says they don’t even say hi.
Show some respect. He DOES deserve it and he is only human and makes mistakes too. OMG right!!

He is extremely talented and is just trying to maintain some sort of normalcy in his life. I keep telling you Justin, “Come home to Canada, we’ll treat you right”
Can’t wait to see you in Toronto on May 18th.

In a way I get that he wants to set boundaries as it must be tough being a celeb. But in another way, it’s not just kids buy the albums, it’s that they buy the albums and the t-shirts and the concert tickets etc.. and they idolize him (for some stupid reason) and he should take a few seconds to say hi, to hug a kid who might look up to him and maybe take a quick pic. This is how long it takes “click”…that is pretty fast. If it’s too much to handle after a hew hugs and pics, just nicely say sorry like your song, and smile and be on your way. Oh and in the news one of his entourage didn’t tip at a pub in Ottawa after Biebs had a pint. Come on, a twoonie wouldn’t hurt!

Becoming famous at a young age is deadly. I fear Justin is suffering the consequence. I would like to know where his parents were in his younger years to guide him and remove him from the dog an pony show. This will not have a good ending if he does not remove himself from the spotlight.

  12. Cathy • May 13, 2016 @ 8:07 PM

His mother was there to guide him but his father was absent. So obviously now his father is the one he emulates, with the bad boy behaviour and all the stupid tattoos.
