Kate Hudson and Sarah Jessica Parker enroll in Glee

Attention Gleeks—Carrie Bradshaw is coming to Lima and she’s bringing Kate Hudson with her. It appears Ryan Murphy has changed his tune about celebrity stunt casting as Hudson and Sarah Jessica Parker have both booked guest roles on the upcoming fourth season of the FOX musical comedy. While little information has been given on their roles, the announcement was made during the Fox Upfront presentation in New York City this morning, where it was revealed the show will be moving to Thursday nights following The X Factor. Despite the secrecy, Parker did tell Kelly Ripa on Live with Kelly that she’d play a mentor of sorts for Chris Colfer’s stylish and overconfident Kurt Hummel in her first television gig since Sex and the City. Both actresses will appear in a recurring capacity, with Hudson scheduled for a six-episode arc and Parker’s episode order unknown. The possibilities for their characters are limitless as next season marks a major transition for Glee. With much of the original cast graduating in the May 22 finale, season four’s creative direction is largely unknown since many of the show’s stars (including Lea Michele and Cory Monteith) are expected to return. ~Kyle Sharp
