Kate Hudson engaged to Muse rocker

After recently announcing she had no plans to marry again, Kate Hudson showed off her huge square-cut diamond ring this morning on The Today Show. Hudson, who is promoting her latest film, Something Borrowed, based on the book of the same name, announced her engagement after Today host Matt Lauer pointed out the ring. “I’m so glad you noticed. I haven’t really announced it and I felt like the announcing thing feels so silly, and I was just waiting for someone to notice. He’s a beautiful man, and I’m excited.” The actress was tight lipped on the details of the proposal, however she revealed that it happened last week in New York and was “very sweet, very romantic.” No plans yet as to when the big day will be. Hudson and her now-fiancé Matt Bellamy, have been dating for a year and are currently expecting their first child together. Hudson also has a seven-year-old son, Ryder, from her previous marriage to The Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson. ~Natasha Tsakiris
