Katy Perry was scheduled to be in Toronto for Sunday night's 2012 MuchMusic Video Awards. But fans had no idea that she came into town early to surprise them at an advance screening of her film, Katy Perry: Part of Me, on Friday. As viewers waited for the movie to start, Katy walked in and joined the audience for the screening. The film, which is set to release in theatres in 2D and 3D on July 5, features both concert and behind-the-scenes footage of Katy, from her days growing up in a reserved Christian home to performing on stage in front of millions of people.

She seems like such a cool person. I love her music and she's just such a fun character.
She was very nice. She sat directly in front of us & this video is excellent since it captured my daughter's excitement. Great movie, go see it!!
