Kerry Washington Kerry Washington has thanked fans for their well-wishes following the birth of her daughter. The Scandal star - who revealed her pregnancy last October - was recently reported to have secretly welcomed her first child, Isabelle Amarachi, with husband Nnamdi Asomugha into the world at a hospital in Los Angeles on April 21, and though she hasn't officially confirmed the arrival of her daughter, she told her twitter followers she was filled with ''gratitude'' for their messages on Mother's Day yesterday. She posted: ''Well...I still wont talk about my personal life on here But...I see your tweets. And I am filled with gratitude! XO #HappyMothersDay. (sic)'' The 37-year-old actress married the former San Francisco 49ers player in a secret ceremony last July and previously admitted she was thrilled to be expecting their first baby. She said: ''I feel really, really blessed. It just feels like a really good time.'' The actress, who celebrated her baby shower with 40 friends at producer and writer Shonda Rhimes' mansion in late February, recently said that being pregnant had made her a better actress. She said: ''I work very physically as an actor. The biggest thing for me has been the challenge of how to be this person with the personal transformation that's going on for me physically and how to stay true to this character. That hasn't been easy.''
