Kim Kardashian and Kanye West name baby North West

It’s confirmed – Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have named their newborn daughter North West. Not South or East, but North. It could have been worse (West West). Thinking back though, Easton West was a name Kim said she liked on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno earlier this year. North West was a rumored name for months as well, but has been confirmed by TMZ who witnessed a birth certificate at Cedars-Sinai hospital signed by both Kim and Kanye. There was speculation that the couple was leaning more towards the Kardashian ‘K’ tradition, however, sources close to the family say the little girl has definitely been dubbed North. Thankfully, a source told US Weekly that they will be calling her Nori for short. With the release of the long-awaited news, people hit Twitter with their thoughts. “Sending poor North West my attorney’s number. No one should have to go through life with a novelty name, not even a Kardashian.” Another one wrote, “So I’m assuming that North West won’t be a One Direction fan?” ~Rebecca Raveendran
