Kristen Stewart admits nervous condition

kristen_stewartTwilight‘s Kristen Stewart is “ridden with tics.” The actress explained her body constantly makes involuntary movements, adding she can’t help making jerky motions or fiddling with her hair and clothing when she is nervous. The 19-year-old tries her best to keep her habits under cover, but revealed they did cause problems when shooting her new movie The Runaways. Kristen plays rocker Joan Jett in the biopic, and struggled to take-off her mannerisms perfectly. “You always feel the pressure,” she explained. “It’s, like, if I don’t get every little thing right I’m going to kill myself. And we have very different tics. We’re both, like, ridden with tics, but they’re a completely different set of them. She’s got a hunch, but a cool one.” The star managed to keep her tics in check at the recent Oscars ceremony, where she was thrilled to meet up with Jodie Foster. The pair starred together in the 2002 movie Panic Room, and Kristen couldn’t believe how well-adjusted to fame Jodie is. The veteran actress offered to hang with Kirsten in the near future, leaving the teenager touched. “I just saw her at the Oscars and it was really cool,” Kristen enthused to TV host Jay Leno. “She’s like, ‘You know, you could learn a thing or two from me. I think that we should maybe start hanging out.’ I was like, ‘Really?’ I think I probably could!”

I know how that feels, I get the same way. It get’s hard to deal with sometimes, and annoying.

A lot of people have nervous tics and it’s hard to control.

Well, I could “stay up all night and research” it (right demigod & Minerva? Haha) but, sometimes the medication ‘Carbamazepine’ works for that.

You could see a mile away that she has a million tics a second going on when she is being interviewed. I thought she was the female version of micheal J Fox when I first heard her speak

If you know someone with Tourettes Syndrome, then you may just recognize the symptoms. Along with Tics is anxiety, increase that and it’s a struggle to control. Watch her closely and you’ll see just how much she is holding them in. Probably part of why she is so shy & always has her body clenched. I’m in no way saying she has TS, but her actions are very similar to my sons and also actor Dash Minok from “Ray Donovan”. He has it severe, yet you would never know it.

I knew it! So that’s why she keeps thumping her feet or fiddling with her hair while shes on the red carpet or in movies!

When I saw Kristen Stewart’s body movements in the Twilight series, I noticed that sometimes her limbs seemed to be both tense and to move in a twitching fashion: while I got used to the way she moved and forgot about it, I had thought she moved like that because she was playing the part of a shy awkward teenager.

However, today w/o much to watch on TV, I glanced at the Sci-fi station. The 2005 movie,Zathura was on, w/Stewart- about some younger boys who create an outer space adventure because of a game… At the moment I tuned into the story, Stewart had smelled burning and discovered the boys were fueling a fire in another room that was burning the home: as she reacted to the fire emergency before grabbing a fire extinguisher, I found that her nervous, twitching body movements were very noticeable and reminded me of the condition that Michael Fox has so I suspected she had some sort of neurological condition…. Hence I googled info on her and found this article.
While I liked the Twilight series for the story, wish her luck and find it unfortunate that as an actress she has to contend this condition, I am not a big fan and am surprised that she has gotten so many roles w/that nervous condition as it distracts and does not fit all roles (I had thought the movements were part of the role of Bella).
