Kristen Stewart can’t find a job

By Alexandra Heilbron on November 15, 2012 | 41 Comments

Unlike her onscreen husband (and real-life boyfriend) Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart doesn’t have a job once she’s finished promoting The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, which opens in theaters tomorrow. Kristen tells E! News on the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere: “I’m kinda desperate to get a job right now. I’m itching to go back to work.” Pattinson, who has five major movies in pre-production, will next fly to Australia to film The Rover with Guy Pierce, then he’ll star alongside Rachel Weisz in Map to the Stars. Although Kristen doesn’t have anything lined up, she’s in talks to star alongside Ben Affleck in a new comedy called Focus. She’s also eager to reprise her role in a sequel to Snow White & the Huntsman despite the affair she had with director Rupert Sanders that drove Pattinson to leave her (they’ve apparently since reconciled). Could the affair be part of the reason Kristen is having a hard time finding work? Vote below: [poll id=”408″]

I never want to see her on the big screen again. She has enough money, she should retire.

  2. Dee • November 15, 2012 @ 11:11 AM

Aww shucks … maybe she could use the time to take some acting lessons?

  3. Ur mom • November 15, 2012 @ 11:26 AM

    @Dee, RIGHT ON!! xD

  4. nadine • November 15, 2012 @ 11:35 AM

everyone likes her in Twilight, but i’m not sure they like her as an actress in general.

  5. GLEN • November 15, 2012 @ 11:45 AM

    No talent at all !

  6. hairbag • November 15, 2012 @ 11:57 AM

Talent is abundant in Hollywood and when you do not have it do not expect work …..she is not all that and a bag of S..T also and not a good role model for young ladies out there..not sad about this she has made plenty for no talent

  7. Louise • November 15, 2012 @ 12:00 PM

No director’s wife will let them hire her. ;D Maybe she really should take some acting lessons in her spare time. Her monotone, expressionless approach has worn out its Twilight welcome.

Kristen Stewart is having trouble finding a job because Hollyweird has finally figured out that she is a braindead ugly skank who couldn’t act her way out a paper bag made of wet toilet paper. She needs to crawl back into her sewer.

  9. Lissa L • November 15, 2012 @ 1:02 PM

She definitely is not a good actress. She did alright in the Twilight series, but that is because the rest of the cast carried her. Individually, she sucks. Sorry to say, but it is true. She will not be around for long, not like the Meryl Streep’s, Julia Roberts, etc.. Kristen is very easily forgotten.

  10. KnightFire • November 15, 2012 @ 1:30 PM

It’s not her fault it’s the terrible source material that makes it look like she’s a bad actress.

Anything other than Twilight and she’s been really good.

  11. Eleanor Dorst • November 15, 2012 @ 1:42 PM

    Jeez… should we have a telethon to raise some money for her… she’s 22 and a millionaire…

  12. dirtyoldman • November 15, 2012 @ 1:50 PM

Pretty sure a woman with her “moral compass” will always have work in the valley. Acting ability not required.

  13. Inquisito • November 15, 2012 @ 2:11 PM

I don’t mean her any harm and she’s certainly not the first hollywood actress to have affairs. (see Angelina Jolie who married almost every male actor she worked with up to Brad Pitt) Angelina can act though, that’s the difference.

Kristen Stewart (I heard someone else use the term ‘wooden’) is a wooden voiced, stone-faced emotionally retarded actress. I loved the Twilight books, but she really was laughable in the films. Thank God for Robert Pattinson being able to make some of the world’s most cheesy lines sound plausible. So much for the theory that it’s just bad material……

Kristen Stewart has a ‘hardness’ about her, a self-serving, unforgiving look one would expect to see on a seasoned prostitute. My only disappointment with Rob Pattinson is that he got suckered obviuosly by an on-screen character. IRL she’s deadwood.

Well, let’s all pass the hat for the multimillionaire; she’s clearly sufferring.
Actually, I can’t tell. That constipated look is the only one I’ve ever seen.

  15. Shelly • November 15, 2012 @ 3:58 PM

If she never works again, I’ll be thankful because I’m going to avoid everything she’s ever in. Can’t wait to see Rob’s movies though!

  16. Mary • November 15, 2012 @ 4:34 PM

I can’t believe the crap that has just been posted here on Kristen. First off there were two people involved in that Fiasco the sleaze ball was twice her age, married and should have had the balls to keep him self focused on the movie not the starlet. She made a mistake haven’t we all at one time or another done something and then realized once we did it, it was the wrong thing to do or say. I’m sure she realizes it caused a lot of damage with her ongoing relationship with Robert. Too much emphasis is placed on celebrities there no better nor deserving to be placed on these pedestals. They make movies to entertain us, make good money doin so, but believe it or not there not Gods and Goddesses!

I don’t give a shit about Kristen Stewart but I think people are way too f***ing mean to her. Like the comment above pointed out it takes 2 to have an affair and it seems like nobody cares about the Director’s involvement in the situation. How typical that the woman once again gets all the blame in the situation. But her acting truly is atrocious. I saw Snow White and the Huntsman and the only good things in that movie were Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth and the dwarves.

  19. Tyra • November 15, 2012 @ 5:43 PM

Kristen is a good actor but she is to much of a slut to play a princess and a beatiful married vampire personally i would of had selena gomez play bella

  20. Georgia • November 15, 2012 @ 5:59 PM

She is a crappy one dimensional actress….. she’s got enough money to stop ruining movies…err…acting…. move on.

  21. Dee55 • November 15, 2012 @ 6:19 PM

I have only ever seen her in the first Twilight Movie – I enjoyed that movie and her acting seemed fine for that particular movie. However, I don’t understand why people are so down on her; she is very young and she made a mistake, something that all of us do, especially when we are very young. Why do we expect celebs to be so perfect and never make a wrong move when we all make so many mistakes. Let those without sin cast the first stone!!! If the person (Pattison) who was most hurt can forgive her, why should it matter so much to the masses who were not hurt by her actions… get over it… and how come the director doesn’t get as much blame? I admire Pattison for forgiving her; maybe they will have wonderful relationship from here on… who knows… but it is this business.

  22. Mary • November 15, 2012 @ 6:19 PM

Hey Tyra meaning of SLUT “Dirty, Untidy, Slovenly or Prostitute” non of which Kristen is. Such a harsh word.

  23. LET IT BE • November 15, 2012 @ 6:21 PM

I’m disgusted to read most of these comments. All the hate vulgarity, negativty, (obviou) envy. You call your selves human? animals have more respect and show more kindness than you do. You don’t like her as an actress? that’s ok just DON’T WATCH her movies. She cheated? fine, I in no way condone it but GET OVER IT!! She’s not the first to do it(in hollywood or not) and certainly; as well as unfortunately, won’t be the last. So just let her be and get over it.

Maybe tv is more of her liking, shes like the opposite of aniston. Aniston was good on tv but movies? No way. Elaborate on acting will you, maybe convincing more of a better word. However, depite some of the comments I found no reason to dislike her, and her movies really aren’t that different than others in a awful sort of way. Good for sunday watching when you have nothing to do. I think you guys build up a movie too much that the enjoyment of seeing one has been lost. Boo hoo for you if you’ve reach that far up you’ll just have to wait until the rest can catch up.

  26. Nobody Important • November 16, 2012 @ 4:29 AM

She had an above average run with her below average acting. Her infidelity didn’t help matters much either. It’s time she let this career die, die, DIE!!!

  27. Marky-Mark • November 16, 2012 @ 9:42 AM

    @Stephanie

No it’s not just because she’s a woman that she’s getting all the attention. It’s because she’s the famous one. I can bet you that most people that read this article can’t even remember the directors name.

    It’s not about women/men. It’s about being famous/not famous.

And as for the rest of the people responding. Go get lives. I can’t believe how much hatred there is for a person. If you don’t like her acting don’t watch her movies. It’s that easy. I have never watched a Twilight movie after the first one because I didn’t like the movie. I am not going to bash the movie or the actors because it wasn’t my taste.

  28. Just one Opinion • November 16, 2012 @ 11:41 AM

    @Marky-Mark
For me, the problem is just that after reading the Twilight books, we Twi-Hards really wanted to see the movies. I wonder if Dristen even read the books, because she did not play the Bella Swan who was on those pages. It was a huge disappointment. However, because I love the books so much, I have been at each movie on opening weekend (including the one I’m going to tomorrow morning at 11:35!) because I love the books so much – not for Stewart’s acting.
She was okay in Panic Room, vaguely memorable in Cold Creek Manor, Zathura and The Messengers. She was actually very good as Joan Jett. Then I watched Adventureland and any good that I ever said about her acting went away. She is inconsistant.
Her affair – yes, it takes two to tango, but she is an adult and she knew better. I’m willing to be she and Robert will be split up again within 6 months when the press junket is done and all has died down.

  29. Leslie • November 16, 2012 @ 12:45 PM

I agree with the poster above. Kristen didn’t play the Bella that was in the books. Probably because she’s a one dimensional actress. She plays her awkward, stuttering, dorky self in everything. I’m going to see the new Twilight movie in spite of her and because of Robert. He’s a great actor, a sweet person and I’m not surprised he has work coming out of his ears.

  30. Kassi (Nova) • November 16, 2012 @ 3:05 PM

I completely disagree. I’ve read the Twilight books multiple times- Bella’s character does most of her emoting internally. She has a lot of thoughts and feelings, but that doesn’t actively translate out into the world. I’ve seen Kristen Stewart in other roles where she was completely unlike her role as Bella. I think she is a great actress.
As for the people calling her a skank, I think you need to reevaluate what it means when a twenty-something makes out with a married man without ever sleeping with him when more than 60% of men have had sexual affairs. Excuse me, but perhaps the older, more responsible adult should be paying some of the consequences too, instead of getting to continue on with his successful career while the woman he messed around with is branded a slut. Or am I the only one who remembers Milla Jovovich’s multiple affairs with multiple directors, and Angelina Jolie breaking up Brad Pitt’s marriage to Jennifer Aniston?

  31. Debbie M • November 16, 2012 @ 4:16 PM

so she had an affair so what? she is human yes she could use some more acting lessons but seriously cut her a break she did not cheat on you and if robert can have the compassion to forgive then the rest of you should get over it if you do not like her movies do not watch she is young cut her some slack.

  32. Debbie M • November 16, 2012 @ 4:19 PM

Kassi well spoken well stated and so true I could not agree more. why is it the woman gets branded and the men get away with it talk about a double standard.

  33. Sherri • November 16, 2012 @ 5:19 PM

Okay I could careless about her personal life, yes she made a mistake and she paid for it, that does not factor into my feelings about her acting. I find she is a very boring actress, whose is unable to reach emotional depths and in the work I’ve seen her in she was far too forgettable and that does not hold promise for her career. In a world where you have to be anything but unforgettable she is out of her league. She will never be one of the truly great actress, she should be happy that she got at least this far, I’ve seen many much more talented young actors and actress never make it big.

  34. Mizzmaxx • November 17, 2012 @ 8:03 PM

Sorry Kristen as much as I loved ur movies u suck as a actress

  35. steve • November 18, 2012 @ 2:20 AM

she s a whore and she cant act worth sh*t. If i never she the b*tch on the big screen again it would be to soon.

  36. Rita • November 18, 2012 @ 4:13 AM

@Just one Opinion & @Leslie She acted the roles in Twilight, because the Writer of all the Twilight series, wrote her lines for her! So you Can’t blame her not being like the books character. Perhaps if you contact the writer, and ask him to change the disalogue; then you’ll be good with that. But thats impossible. So why complain?

  37. Carol • November 18, 2012 @ 9:58 AM

Perhaps people should not comment on her affair since many a male actor has had affairs (the director was a willing participant)too. If you must criticize, criticize both. How many bad actors are out there and seen in so many so-so movies? Many these days. In a time when anyone and everyone can be a celebrity, who really has what we used to term talent? Frankly, I see more acting talent on the small screen than the large these days.

  38. brie • November 20, 2012 @ 1:43 AM

I have seen her in two other movies pretty good I dont care about her personal life. Post your personal life here and let it all out for judgement. Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones.

  39. Priscilla • November 21, 2012 @ 2:37 AM

Throw stones indeed. She’s a terrible actress who couldn’t act her way out of plastic bag with a leash trying to drag her out. That being said, she’s remarkably successfully having all her Twilight millions while only in her 20s. Sure she’s a prostitute who can’t act, but let’s face it – she’s been a SUCCESSFUL prostitute!

  40. Ms. J • December 8, 2012 @ 10:39 AM

She an awful actress who is extremely one dimensional. Her role is snow white was essentially the same role as Bella in Twilight: slack jawed, monotone and completely appearing uninterested. The affair was not a good move, don’t get me wrong, but it’s her acting skills that are the reason why she’s not getting any work.

  41. Olya • March 20, 2013 @ 1:59 AM

The reason she can’t get work is because she’s a horrid actress. That’s the truth, plain and simple. She doesn’t play any of her characters, she’s just being her awful self in all movies… This is NOT acting.
