When Casey Anthony was found not guilty of murdering her two-year-old daughter Caylee this week during a televised trial, many viewers, including celebrities were shocked by the verdict. What’s not shocking is that it’s almost certain a movie about the murder trial will be produced and Kristen Stewart is already considered the top pick to play the young mother. The Hollywood Reporter’s Marisa Guthrie told The Insider that the 21-year-old Twilight star would be a perfect fit to play 25-year-old Casey. “She’s got the dark hair, sort of the vacant, deer-in-the-headlights look,” Guthrie said, adding that the film would be popular because, “We have not had a televised murder trial, a really big high profile one since O.J Simpson.” Although Casey was found not guilty of murder or manslaughter in the death of her child, she was found guilty on four counts of providing false information to law enforcement officials and sentenced to four years in jail. Because she has served almost three years and has shown good behavior while imprisoned, she will be released July 13, 2011.

Good casting. Let’s see if she is interested in taking the role on….she would do it justice.

  2. Germain on July 7, 2011 7:14 AM

Let the poor little girl rest in peace. Just another way to make money off of someone’s death, shame on all of them.

  3. Bug on July 7, 2011 9:04 AM

Why is it that no one notices how bad an actress Kristen Stewart really is? Yes I watched Twilight. God knows why. It’s like a car crash, you can’t help watch. Even though it’s the worst, dialogue and acting I’ve seen in years. I hope the real Dexter Morgan visits that child killing bitch very soon………………………………..go Dex.

  4. carey on July 7, 2011 9:22 AM

I don’t think they should make a movie or book about the trail..the child murdering bitch will just get money from it all and will live happily ever after. i hope to god karma finds her soon!

  5. DMA on July 7, 2011 10:01 AM

Im with you on that Bug! Just horrible! As for the movie…why would Hollywood sensationalize this sad story only to have that biatch claim the proceeds! Our society is so messed up!!

  6. 123 on July 7, 2011 10:04 AM

I hope she refuses the role…

I’m not a mother and we’re working on that.. even though you will get ratings with these shows/movies but I would not promote person and give them fame for their actions… ie teen mom… you are promotion young girls to gain fame as being a teen mom… how is this right… by creating this movie you are promoting children killers as they will have fame in killing their kids… it’s not right…
some people who really wants to be a mother can’t those that have babies kill them and get away with it… where is the justices in that…

I refuse to watch teen mom and will refuse to watch this movie because I don’t think they deserve the fame for their actions. It sadden me that people produces shows and movies just for ratings and money…

  7. Jason on July 7, 2011 10:28 AM

Where are all the real life vigalantes?

Can somebody please dress up like a superhero and do this evil bitch some true justice by quickly ending her life with whatever superpower you posses?

I don’t know whats sadder. The little girls death or the mom getting off. What would John Wayne do?

  8. Nursekathy on July 7, 2011 11:07 AM

Casey Anthony should NEVER receive ANY profits from the making of this movie. How tragic and wrong that would be.
One sad thing is that people copy what they see on TV and the killing of one child was horrific enough. We live in a very troubled society that is getting worse everyday. I wonder if Casey watches the movie is she will find any remorse.

  9. June on July 7, 2011 11:55 AM

I think we need to not produce a movie,it will be fabricated and also let the little girl rest and move on.I could never watch the movie and I am sure many others won’t be able to. I had a hard enough time just seeing pictures of a beautiful bubbly little girl and then her life taken away. If she is guilty she will have to stand before God on judgement day and be accountable for her actions. God knows the truth, and we may never now the truth, But God sees all things.

  10. jjones on July 7, 2011 11:56 AM

It sickens me that there is even talk of a movie. Hollywood needs to show some responsibility here and stop this type of promotion. I don’t think this murdering mom deserves one penny from anything nor does she derserve to “tell her side of the story”. It’s despictable.

I’m so against a movie coming out that I’m not even going to comment on whether Kristen would/would not make a good fit.

  11. Sandra Dean on July 7, 2011 12:29 PM

To let Casey Anthony have the attention she craves and the money a movie deal would get her is unspeakable. I would hope the public would think of the poor baby girl who was killed and boycott any movie and any movie company that would make a deal with this monster.

  12. Bob on July 7, 2011 1:27 PM

Anyone who could say its “just a part” and we’re telling a story, needs to just get out of North America now. The woman is a murderer in 95% of the public’s eyes and you’re going to make her wealthy for having gotten away with it. Its disgusting what our society has been reduced to.

  13. LindsayLou on July 7, 2011 1:34 PM

SICK and Twisted.. what else will Hollywood come up with next? LIke someone said above… Caylee will never see any profit from this. And everyone’s right about Kristen’s CRAPTASTIC acting….

  14. Denny on July 7, 2011 1:53 PM

How is it tah 12 people could not see what us thousands have she is Guilty… I’m sick that she gets out and to boot she will get RICH.. over the death of Caylee but at least she will have to live in hiding I doubt anyone will forgrt the face she can change her name but I for 1 will never forget that devil spawn…If there is any justice lets hope she gets it one way or another.

  16. Jackie on July 7, 2011 2:09 PM

Too f***ing soon! TOO F***ING SOON is all I can say for this. For other stories of killers they at least wait a decade before making the movie.

  17. choirgirl79 on July 7, 2011 2:40 PM

I pray Kristen Stewart has nothing to do with nthis it will kill her career and she will lose many fans I hope no one watches any movie about her stop with the attention thats why she did it!

  18. janet on July 7, 2011 3:03 PM

I will NEVER watch a movie or read a book about this phyco bitch who killed her darling daughter. I hope hollywood pays attention and if some idiot does make the movie/book they go bust because we all choose NOT to watch anything more about this evil woman.

  19. Karyn on July 7, 2011 3:07 PM

Just stick with the Twilight Saga.

  20. bianca on July 7, 2011 6:24 PM

US law does not allow anyone to profit from their crime, so she won’t be paid any royalties for this story, nor can she write a book (unless it is written as a hypothetical, which is a hardsell and would incriminate her otherwise). They’ll strictly go by conjecture, interviews with jurors/lawyers and what was available through the media.

  21. Diane Robinson on July 7, 2011 6:27 PM

When I heard the verdict on Monday I literaly got sick to my stomach! O.J #2. Only in America where the justice system seems to work for the killers. I believe in Karma and what comes around, goes around! This girl calls herself a mother! Ha! She is a sociapath and a pathological liar and I hope that Caley haunts her in her every waking moment! I know justice will prevail one day.

  22. Lori on July 7, 2011 8:26 PM

Many of us who have followed this case and do not believe Casey Anthony should benefit financially after having committed this despicable murder will never support a movie or any other act that will allow her financial gain. I hope it is a complete failure.

I agree just another way to make money off someones death only this time it’s the death of an innocent baby.
here in Canada they want to give an adult sentence to a 15yr old boy for killing a police officer yet they are letting this woman off on killing her baby???
    WTF?
I guess when you’re rich you can do what ever the H E double hockey sticks you want

    It’s TOTALLY disgusting!!!

  25. Goldfish Goodfish on July 7, 2011 10:16 PM

The backlash of Anthony’s acquittal reminds me of the movie line, approximately, “We’ll give you a fair trial and then we’ll hang you.” If the state does a chargeback to Anthony for the cost of searches, etc., her only recourse to pay will be to “cash in” on her notoriety and then there will be a backlash on that, too.

  26. Doris Winfield on July 7, 2011 10:46 PM

I can not believe they found that snake not guilty I too . Was also sicken when I heard the verdict
I’m sure some one will get to her , if not she should be tomented or haunted but like the good book says she’ll answer on judgement day. What a beautiful little helpless little girl it’s so sad. Please don’t make a movie for the little girl’s sake.

  27. LuvMyVamps! on July 7, 2011 11:06 PM

Young starlet Kristen Stewart’s performances in ”The Runaways” and ”Welcome to the Rileys” was excellent! And yes, If they do decide to make an movie from this tragic story then YES I’d have to agree,”Stewart” would be the perfect choice IMO.

Oh,and yes. I adored her in the *Twilight saga!:)=

  32. J. on July 8, 2011 5:00 AM

I don’t think Hollywood should be talking about a movie so soon after the trial. It’s really disgusting.

Most of these movies are just sensationalistic. It’s in bad taste.

When the movie about the Bernardo/Homolka case came out, practically no one in Canada went to see it.

Hopefully Casey Anthony will suffer the rest of her life because of what she did to her daughter.

  33. Maria on July 8, 2011 9:20 AM

CASEY ANTHONY IS A MURDERER!!! Lets not glorify it! Our justice system is completely messed up! It’s times like this I wish we had an old school justice system – you know the ones that screw circumstantial evidence and just kill the b*tch for lying so that justice is served one way or the other – I’m from Canada and it’s the same deal with Karla Homolka, she assisted her f’d up husband in kidnapping and killing girls, including her own sister – now the b*tch is living in Quebec re-married and had a child! WTF is that! So in the US you go to jail for being caught with marijuana three times, but then you lie to the cops, don’t report your missing daughter for a month and get let go to live in society! It breaks my heart that this little girl lost her life and her c**t of a mother gets away with it! I pray that justice is served by God and I pray that Casey Anthony lives a miserable life and meets a man who will beat her a** on a daily basis and that no one will be there to help her!

  34. susan on July 8, 2011 10:11 AM

Okay but if they make the movie can she at least be found guilty this time! Also can it not profit Casey Anthony in any way, ie not one cent benefits her…then and only then would it be morally acceptable.

  35. Monique on July 8, 2011 11:26 AM

Hate to break this to you bianca and susan, but Casey CAN profit from this, and profit BIG.
Since she was found NOT guilty (not my opinion by the way) she can profit from book deals, tv deals, movie deals, interviews…..on and on and on.
Personally, I hope she DOES profit, become a porn star junkie and OD.

PS….And because you can’t be tried twice for the same crime, Casey could walk out the jail and openly admit she killed her baby and get away with it.
Who said we don’t have justice in the world hey??? *pffth*

  36. Meladee on July 8, 2011 1:36 PM

Why don’t they put the money they would spend on making a movie into something good, like continuing to investigate this case and find a way to make Casey pay for the murder of her daughter? If I had the money I would pay someone to just follow her around and scare the crap out of her everyday for the rest of her miserable little life…and make her pay to the max for every mis-step she ever takes. I really hope they can find a loophole to make her pay, just as they found a loophole to get her out. Wait a while until Casey is dead to make a movie, that way she gets nothing from it. RIP Caylee.

  37. Meladee on July 8, 2011 1:41 PM

In my dreams, Casey begins dating Joran Vandersloot….

  38. C-Dub on July 8, 2011 4:30 PM

On one hand I do see Hollywood doing this to make money of a hot topic like this. And truth is stranger than fiction. BUT on the other hand they are just telling a story. That’s what all TV movies and theatre movies are for…to tell a story. Fiction or non-fiction it’s to get people talking.
Does anyone complain about Law and Order SVU on tv and how graphic it can be, kids getting raped and killed and such? Maybe but it can’t be enough of an outcry that I’ve heard about it. And apparently some stories are based on truth! Yet it’s a powerful and popular show…are the producers and studios making money off police cases? TV show COPS showing domestic abuse and arresting people they make money off that, does anyone complain it’s invasion of privacy and erally, are ALL PEOPLE INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY? In this case public opinion said no. We weren’t there for the trial. Lots of media twists. The jury was alone and made their verdict on straight facts and evidence.

A movie will continue to get people talking and if they do it well, then maybe some people might switch their view either direction.

    Devils advocate.

  39. Verna on July 8, 2011 7:08 PM

    Devil’s advocate #2 ….

since she was found not guilty, has it not occurred to ANY of you that it is at least POSSIBLE that someone else did it; that while you are vilifying Ms Anthony someone is sitting at home laughing insanely because THEY GOT AWAY with it?
This woman will be hated by you all for the rest of her life for a crime she – according to your legal system – is not guilty of.
Just imagine if it was YOU that had been accused of this heinous crime and you were innocent. I say this especially to all the mothers out there… what if it was YOU????? And you knew you were innocent?
    Just think about it.
At least accept the possibility, and vent your anger appropriately.

  40. Karyn on July 8, 2011 11:18 PM

Without a doubt in my mind, GUILTY AS SIN!!! Noone tells that many outrageous lies to cover their tracks if they are innocent. As a Mother of 3 children if I were innocent of all charges I WOULD NOT be making up such BS from the beginning of this very sad situation!!!

  41. c00kie on July 9, 2011 7:00 PM

My sentiments exactly Lynda, Maria and Meladee!! NO BOOK OR MOVIE!! That lying bitch s–t should be in jail because she’s a baby killer!! She’s laughing now, saying ” I got away with murder!!” She’s absolutely guilty! I too was sick to my stomach when I heard the verdict! What didn’t the jury see or hear? I think they did a coin toss-heads she’s guilty, tails she’s innocent!! Her day will come!! I’m hoping she lives a miserable life!!

    GOD KNOWS THE TRUTH!!!!!

  42. Ophelia on July 9, 2011 8:56 PM

I think that it is in such bad taste to be considering the making of a movie only days following the end of the trial. What about everyone who was affected by this case? What about time to mourn and remember Caylee? She will never receive JUSTICE because if her mother did commit this crime – double jeopardy is attached and if she did not, then whoever murdered Caylee will never be convicted. I watched the trial and I must admit that I am disgusted by the verdict and I am in shock! The most effective statement that society could give should a film be made or a book be written, would be to actively boycott the film and write guest editorials in every newspaper to make certain that NO ONE will pay to watch any film or purchase any book! Perhaps someone could write a fictional book about a child like Caylee? It wouldn’t be illegal if it was done correctly.

  43. Stephen LeBoeuf on July 10, 2011 12:49 AM

No FN Way should this be made into a movie.Where is the justice for that dear sweet little child? There is no justice in the USA anymore.

  44. Tayderhead on July 10, 2011 7:07 PM

Sorry all, but personally, I think Casey’s father killed Caylee. Each family member lied in court to protect the other family member, making everything impossible to prove. Casey’s father molested her all her life, then was left alone with wee Caylee…….got back into his old habits of molesting little girls, maybe got carried away and she ended up dying….or….Caylee threatened to tell her mommy and grandma that he hurt her and he decided she needed to drown in the pool to keep her quiet. Casey had stated that she thought her father was with Caylee at the time she died. Thinking her father killed Caylee, she couldn’t bring herself to deal with him because of past abuse from him and instead, went into total denial, pretending that nothing had happened at all……partying…..anything she had to do to mentally and emotionally escape this horror.
Anyway, yes she will make money from this…..if not from royalties from the movie, then from talk show hosts all fighting to interview her on their program first. JMHO

  45. Linda on July 10, 2011 8:30 PM

    Dear Tayderhead,

You are entitled to your opinion, but you are without question the most naive person on the planet…absolutely no evidence to substantiate your thoughts….this little girl wasn’t reported missing for 31 day…convicted of 4 counts of obstructing the police. Casey is the culprit.

  46. Tayderhead on July 11, 2011 2:14 AM

Linda, without question you are the most narrow minded person on the planet. You are a follower of hate mongers…….absolutely no evidence to substantiate your thoughts…..this is why they could not convict Casey. Her father is the culprit. Any one of those three people could have reported Caylee missing, but did not.

  47. Germain on July 11, 2011 10:23 AM

All child molesters and killers should die a low and painful death. When I see Caylee’s pictures, she looks jult like my 2 year old daughter and it’s painful to think of what that little girl might have gone through. The feeling of anger that I feel towards whoever may have inflict pain on that child or any other for that matter sometimes is taken out by venting like others are doing on this webside but potentially not towards the right people. It’s dangerous to let our emotions get the better of us.

  48. Germain on July 11, 2011 10:24 AM

I meant slow and painful death

  49. Linda on July 11, 2011 10:30 AM

    Tayderhead,
I don’t hate…a waste of energy. I am realistic however, and like you, I am entitled to an opinion. Go lay down and dream in technicolor now.

  50. Ophelia on July 11, 2011 3:17 PM

I have to agree with Linda and I am NOT a hate monger, I am a person with an opinion. I do not believe that the allegations of abuse were proven. Again, because I am not a witness I only have my opinion to which I am entitled. The jury may have found “reasonable doubt”, but what about the substantial, factual and overwhelming perponderance of evidence which clearly establishes Casey’s guilt. If this were a civil litigation she would have been found guilty and that is a fact.
