Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro in Scorsese commercial

Both Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro have worked with director Martin Scorsese on numerous occasions. However, never together. Until now, that is. The three powerhouses joined forces in a new commercial for City of Dreams Manila, a new casino in Manila Bay, Philippines. The commercial features DiCaprio, 40, competing against De Niro, 71, for the same role in a Scorsese film. The director even makes an appearance in the commercial as we witness the actors vying for a role. This is apparently only one of a series of ads featuring the trio and a full cut of the short film is set to premiere in mid-2015.
What could be bigger than the news of two of Hollywood’s leading men pairing up with the legendary director? The price tag. DiCaprio and De Niro reportedly earned $13 million each for the series of ads. With a payday like that for the actors, the budget had to be big. It’s rumored that the bankroll for the ads was a whopping $70 million. That’s a pretty nice payout for two days work. ~Janine Wyslobicky
