Lily Collins has been seen on the big screen lately in The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, but she is number one on a different list. The actress was recently named McAfee’s Most Dangerous Cyber Celebrity of 2013, taking the title from Emma Watson. McAfee has been doing this study on “dangerous celebrities” for seven years. These celebrities, when searched, often come up with links that lead to websites with viruses, malware, and software that steal passwords and personal information from your computer.
When searching for Lily Collins, users have a one in seven chance of clicking on a website that will lead to viruses or malware. It is often when Collins’ name is combined with words such as “nude pictures,” “fakes” and/or “free app downloads” that it leads to these sites. Also on the list are Canadian star Avril Lavigne, actress Sandra Bullock and comedian Kathy Griffin. ~ Brie Davis
