Mad Men leads Emmy nominations

The Emmy award nominations were read this morning by Melissa McCarthy of Mike & Molly and Joshua Jackson of Fringe. The comedy series Mad Men captured 19 of them, while the miniseries Mildred Pierce received 21 nods, including lead actress Kate Winslet and supporting actress Melissa Leo. Modern Family picked up 17 nominations, including outstanding comedy series and nominations for stars Julie Bowen, Ed O’Neill and Ty Burrell. The Kennedys, the controversial miniseries that was dropped by the History Channel but then shown by ReelzChannel received 10, including one for outstanding miniseries. Steve Carell earned his sixth Emmy nomination for his role on The Office, which he has since left to do movies, such as the upcoming Crazy, Stupid Love. Super 8 star Kyle Chandler was nominated for Friday Night Lights, which received an outstanding drama series nod for its fifth and final season. The 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony will be aired live on Sunday, September 18 from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on CTV and Fox. Here is a partial list of nominees in performing categories:

   Thank God people have different tastes in tv,film,music etc. other wise we’d have nothing but generic crap(there’s enough of it out there anyway).So who cares if someone has a difference in opinion,they’re entitled to it…for the record I think Walking Dead and Dexter are great but I think Mad Men is EPIC!

   I love mad men and the walking dead and breaking bad – I think dexter is stupid – no one on the show except dexter can act!
   I also think reality shows are for stupid people….and that includes AI and DWTS
   See, we all have different taste.
