Just when we thought Madonna couldn't get more controversial on her MDNA tour, she proved you wrong once again. She not only put a gun to her head at her London, England concert this week, but she pointed the gun at the audience. She has definitely got people talking, and not in a good way. Not even a month after the Lindsay Lohan photo shoot controversy, where pictures of the star holding a gun to her mouth were put online and then abruptly taken down, the Material Girl herself decided to show once again how risqué she can be. After the Lindsay Lohan debacle, the national suicide hotline Hopeline told E! News, "When a celebrity uses suicide and specifically the means to do it as a joke, it is grossly irresponsible and is a disgrace. It also must be met with an immediate rebuke from the mental-health community. This is no joking matter. Lives are at stake."
As someone who has been in the spotlight for such a long time, one would hope that Madonna would realize what an influence her actions have on the public. Although she is more than entitled to her opinion, such as her political stand against the National Front, actions such as these could pose real danger, and in this case, it may no longer be just "poetic justice". ~Morgan Bates

Buy my albums or I'll shoot every last one of ya!!!
Entertainers really need to "realize" what they are doing. Not a good move Madonna - not at all. Actually it was really stupid.
Maybe it was a desperate call for help. Madonna is in trouble!
She got what she wanted...we're talking about her. What do you do when your career is starting to take a nosedive? Do something stupid to make people talk about you and bring you back into the spotlight. The sooner we stop talking about her, the sooner she'll go away.
What does Madonna care if some people end up copying her example and killing themselves because of her gross display. As long as she gets attention to herself thats the only thing that matters to her. Madonna, you give entertainers a bad name.
She ia getting too old and boring. Thats what she is freaking out that people wont listening her crappy songs anymore. She is trying to get attention!!! Pl retire already old
Woman!!!!
Perhaps it was an error in judgment. But count the amount of entertainers still wowing and wooing audiences after a quarter century or more. YOu go girl!
Damn straight Lou! And when she passes, just like MJ, watch all of the above posters do a 180 and be like "Oh my god why didn't we appreciate her more?"
What exactly was the context of the gun pointing? What was being said by Madonna? Most times I've seen/heard she is trying to make some point. It doesnt sound like she simply walked on stage with a gun and was threatening to kill herself or the audience. She normally does something specifically for contraversy, a statement, and has a reason. This is not a stupid woman people. The context MATTERS.
So her career has tanked, she has to buy new boy toys and her kid's turning out just like her. Looks good on her. Now go back to your cave and leave us alone. Oh, you can take the gun with you.
Lou, you've totally failed to recognize how stupid and wrong Madonna was to pull that stunt. She doesn't deserve one iota of your support, acceptance or forgiveness.
And Jon, you might have a tiny point about the public's future hindsight, but that doesn't excuse her behaviour. If you're supporting Lou's view or condoning her behaviour, then what I've said to Lou applies to you as well.
Madonna will do anything for attention these days. That is anything other than entertaining her fans with singing and dancing. Britney Spears all over again!
GROW-UP!
It's pathetic, watching someone age so disgracefully.
She will do anything for attention, including flashing her boobs, and now this gun debaucle--*anything* at all--since she isn't getting the album sales she used to, anymore.
She's a washed-out, used-up has-been, living back in the 80s.
She needs to grow up...
I have liked Madonna off and on since she came on the scene, however this is just plain ignorant and idiotic, what a stupid stunt, maybe it's time for her to retire, I sure wouldn't go out of my way to see concert or buy her music. I have a family, not gonna risk not seeing them again over a stupid stunt gone wrong. It was empty this time, who knows about the next time she decides to do it. How sick, especially with all the shootings that happen, which are completely publicized.
Lou; I've seen ACDC, Aerosmith, The Stones etc., they have been performing way longer than Madonna and I have never seen them do something so stupid as this, as for "you go girl" ya she can go, somewhere else, where she can't hurt anyone.
CAGE: WOW!!! REALLY???? you blow me away, context in this case DOES NOT MATTER!! I'm sure a lot of parents that let their kids go didn't care what the context was, nor a lot of people at the concert cared either.
Madonna, what a desparate plea, retire already,
go entertain some boy toy, your time is up, you music has always sucked!
Go get a pension and stop looking for an audience they are done with you old slut!
