Man in search of Katy Perry invades Kennedy home

Security will hopefully be much tighter at the Hyannis Port compound, the famous home where Ted Kennedy Jr. and his teenage son, Ted Kennedy III, live. Tuesday night a complete stranger – James Lacriox – walked into the home at approximately 6:30 p.m. and started making himself dinner in the kitchen. Although Ted Kennedy Jr. was away in Connecticut, he called the house just after 9 p.m. to check in on his son. James was the one to pick up the phone and spoke with Ted, who then immediately called police.
Officers arrived at the house to find James with Kennedy’s son, still in the kitchen. When asked why he was there, James said he was looking for Katy Perry. When the younger Kennedy was asked why he was not alarmed by the appearance of James in the kitchen, he said he thought the man was a house guest. James Lacroix, 53, is charged with breaking and entering and was arraigned in Barnstable District Court on Wednesday morning. In two weeks the Kennedy family and home will have extra high security, as many guests will be attending Cheryl Hines and Robert Kennedy Jr.’s wedding, taking place at the home. ~Andrea Hodgins
