Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen accused of ripping off designers

Former child stars Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen were dissed by celebrity stylist Lysa Cooper, who has worked for numerous A-list clients. In an interview with Vogue Italia, she talked about celebrity designer lines: “The only one that’s any good, and I hate to say it, are our girls, the twins. The Row. But the reason that works is because they hired designers. They ‘yay’ or ‘nay’ [the concepts]. And they are the best line at ripping off other lines that I’ve ever seen. I mean, they’ve taken Rick Owens, Ann Demeulemeester. But it’s good. You know, they’re good at it. I don’t buy it, but they’re good at it.” The Olsens started their fashion careers as preteens with a clothing line made exclusively for Walmart. Cooper slammed not only the Olsens, but other celebrity designers, adding, “If you go to school, then maybe you can talk some shit.” The Olsen twins launched their high-end fashion label, The Row, in 2006. The collection is popular among celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, Vanessa Hudgens, Rachel Bilson and Kate Hudson. They also have two other labels, Elizabeth & James and Olsenboye.
