Mary-Kate Olsen marries French millionaire Olivier Sarkozy

Child star turned fashion mogul Mary-Kate Olsen has married Olivier Sarkozy in a secret ceremony. There are no official details yet, but a “well-connected” source told Lucky Magazine that the couple, who have been engaged since March, have officially tied the knot. Rumors of the couple’s secret wedding began to spread after a paparazzi photo of the couple, who have a 17 year age-gap between them, surfaced, showing them in the Hamptons last Friday, sporting matching wedding bands.
Mary-Kate began dating Sarkozy, best known as the half-brother of former French president Nicolas Sarkozy, in 2012. Us Weekly broke the original story, with sources close to the couple saying that Mary-Kate found men her age immature and that the two were “good for each other.” This is Olivier’s second marriage. The French banker was previously married to Charlotte Bernard and has two children with her – Julien, 14, and Margot, 11.
There have been a string of secret wedding announcements in the last week. First Tom Hardy‘s marriage to Charlotte Riley was exposed by a family member, who told The Daily Mail that the two married in a private ceremony in the South of France. Next was Jeremy Renner, who told Capital File about his marriage to Canadian model Sonni Pacheco while promoting his new film. ~Kelly Townsend
