Michael J. Fox has signed to guest star in an upcoming episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm, playing himself as Larry David‘s upstairs neighbor in New York, according to TV Guide. Fox was the star of the hit series Spin City when he had to quit due to his battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Since then, he’s made rare guest appearances on series such as Boston Legal and Rescue Me. In Curb Your Enthusiasm, he won’t try to hide his symptoms, he’ll instead use them for humor. He told TV Guide that in the show, Larry thinks, “I’m being symptomatic just to annoy him — a whole passive-aggressive thing. He’s complaining because I’m shuffling and making noise upstairs. It’s very funny.” Fox says acting with Parkinson’s is a challenge he’s embraced. “That was really fun, and it’s nice with work to still have a sense of, ‘What do I bring to this? What tools do I have?’ Not concentrating on what tools I don’t have,” he explained. “I don’t have the physical subtlety that I had before. I don’t have the elasticity of expression that I had. I have to work to configure my face or to physically situate myself in a way that serves the script or my immediate physical needs. But at the same time, this experience has given me a gravitas, a kind of steadiness and a stillness, even in my motion, that I didn’t have before. It’s really taught me how to be quiet.”

I love him, I’m definitely going to watch for this episode.
good for him! great show
I missed Micheal trmendously on TV and the big screen.
I grew up with Michael on t.v. and watching some of his movies like “For Love or Money”, “The Secret of My Success”, “Greedy”, “Doc Hollywood”, “The Frighteners”, and of course the “Back to the Future” trilogy. I’ve always believed he was talented, and in this article it shows just how smart and articulate he still is. I’m glad for him that hes still taking on roles, and only wish the best for him, his family, and his career.
You are the best Michael!
He is great! Can’t wait to see him guest star!
He’s a talented actor, expecially in the back to the future movies.
Looking forward to it — I’ve loved everything Michael has ever done.
Proud that you are representing us as a Canadian!
Micheal, if you are reading this blog, Thank you, for making this choice. It will be great to see you back on TV again. You are a wonderful actor. I believe that it will help many people with Parkinsons to embrace life and give it their all. TV shows often shy away from ‘the real world’ where we have people that are overweight and people with different disabilties to name only two and not include everyone in their shows.
We love you Micheal. All the best to you!
