Mr. T pities the tool in new home improvement show

Mr. TMr. T will host a new home improvement show called I Pity The Tool.

The makeover series for the DIY Network takes its name from his famous catchphrase, ”I pity the fool” and will air later this year.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 62-year-old and his team — which includes HGTV’s Design Star winner and interior designer Tiffany Brooks — travel to a different homes in each episode and rip out their unwanted rooms, creating new spaces with their decorating and building skills. The show is produced by The Michael Group and was given a straight-to-series deal by the DIY Network.

I Pity The Tool is the latest in a line of celebrity-fronted renovation shows airing on the DIY Network. Others include, The Vanilla Ice Project, The Shatner Project and Rev Run’s Renovation. The new project is Mr. T’s latest foray into reality TV.

He previously starred in I Pity The Fool, in which he traveled around America giving advice to people and highlighting the importance of teamwork, while on World’s Craziest Fools for BBC Three he showed clips of people’s stupid actions and accidents.

Mr. T is most famous for his acting roles as B.A. Baracus in the 1980s TV series The A-Team and as boxer Clubber Lang in the movie Rocky III, where he starred opposite Sylvester Stallone. Mr. T was also a wrestler for the WWE and is an inductee in the celebrity wing of the company’s Hall of Fame.
