MTV VMAs 2016 nominees announced

BeyoncéFor the first time ever, the nominees for the MTV VMAs were revealed on Facebook Live!

In the list, Beyoncé dominated the 2016 nominations with 11 of them for her Emmy-nominated Lemonade video. Adele earned an admirable eight nominations, with seven being for her video Hello.

For the award for Video of the Year, Beyoncé and Adele will be facing off against Drake‘s Hotline Bling, Justin Bieber‘s Sorry, and the controversial Famous video by Kanye West.

The MTV Video Music Awards for 2016 will air live on Sunday, August 28 from New York’s Madison Square Garden. Be sure not to miss it! ~ Natalia Makarski

    I don’t understand; David Bowie’s striking and surreal videos for the BLACKSTAR project nabbed nominations for Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Direction, and Best Editing…but not Best Video???
