Naya Rivera apologizes for shower comments

Naya Rivera has apologized for saying she thinks showering every day is a ”white people thing.” The 28-year-old singer caused controversy during an appearance on The View on Tuesday when she said she believes ”white people” take a shower ”a lot more than ethnics,” but she has now said sorry if she offended anyone because it was only meant to be a ”joke”.
Speaking on the program on Wednesday, The Glee star said: ”It was supposed to be a joke. I apologize if anyone was offended. I said that I thought that showering multiple times in a day was such a white person thing. Yesterday we were talking about a study that says we are supposed to shower I guess once or twice every three days which I had an opinion on, it which was supposed to be a joke but apparently didn’t go over so well. However, I’m very excited that it sparked a big conversation about how many times you should shower.”
Naya said she thought white people must shower more because she only showers once or twice every three days, while her husband Ryan Dorsey – who she married in July last year – prefers to get clean under the water on a regular basis.

I shower once every one to two weeks.
I don’t know why she apologized. She’s correct. Unless you worked out and got sweaty, no need to shower every day in winter. Just do a spot wash.
She should be celebrated for her self-expression, not persecuted for it.
