Neighbors and other new movies opening today

The outrageous comedy Neighbors, starring Seth Rogen, Zac Efron and Rose Byrne, opens today. The movie is about a young couple who faces unexpected difficulties after a fraternity moves into the neighborhood. Before long, a turf war erupts. Click here to watch our interview with the Neighbors stars. Also hitting theaters today is the comedy Moms’ Night Out. Sarah Drew of Grey’s Anatomy plays a mom who plans to spend a carefree evening with her friends away from their kids; however, things don’t go as planned. Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return, an animated musical about Dorothy’s return to Oz to rescue her friends from a wicked Jester, opens across Canada.

Also opening today in limited release in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver is Locke, starring Tom HardyJonathan Glazer‘s Under the Skin with Scarlett Johansson as a voracious alien opens in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal. Opening in a limited release in Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary is the Canadian-filmed slasher Stage Fright, set at a summer camp. Hitting Toronto’s Varsity Cinemas today is Belle, Amma Asante’s movie inspired by the true story of Dido Elizabeth Belle. Click here to find showtimes at your local theater. ~Alexandra Sharova
