Nick Cannon wants $50 million from Mariah Carey

The gloves are coming off! The divorce between Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey is getting uglier and uglier.
Reports say the America’s Got Talent host wants $50 million of Mariah’s $500 million worth. Reports also say Mariah does not want to part with more than $10 million. The couple filed for divorce December 2014 after six years of marriage and had also signed a prenup.
Since January, Nick has allegedly spent $1 million — including private jet parties and a renting New Jersey mansion at $11, 000 per month — and a source told Life & Style magazine that Nick is debating going public with her secrets unless she pays up.
“They think [Mariah’s] prepared to pay $30 million instead of the $10 mil she’s been dangling,” the source claims. “There’s just too much at stake.”
Nick and Mariah also have three-year-old fraternal twins, Monroe and Moroccan. ~Sandra D. Sukraj

If he signed a prenup how can he be asking for more money. Shouldn’t that already be established in the prenup how much he gets.

I understand the prenup and all…but I wonder how much has he given up in the past 6 years while being married to Mariah? He was a budding star on television and was earning some good coin. How much has he done and earned in the last 6 years? Just curious as I do not know.
Nick should not be entitled to he $500 million worth…but half of whatever she earned in the past 6 years.
This would be a total different story if it were the other way around and you ladies know it! Telling Nick to “Man up” is ludicrous , if he is only asking for some of her net worth that was incurred over the past 6 years (which I don’t know and odds are none of you do either) then that is life and fair! Oh wait…he is the man and should “man up” and just start over again like the majority of men do in this world. :S
On another note, it’s too bad that things aren’t able to work themselves out so that they can stay together and raise their kids together. 🙁

The prenup was done to prevent such ugliness. It is starting to reveal way too much about Nick’s true character that he won’t honor the prenuptial, that he didn’t honor his marriage when he cheated (more than once), that he doesn’t honor trust and confidentiality by using what he knows of Mariah as a threat to embarrass her publicly if she tries to withstand his demands. He is also not honoring his fatherhood by placing this kind of damage on his babies’ momma and setting such a cruel, greedy, dishonorable role model for them.
SHAME on you Nick!! I WAS a fan. No more.

Prenup should stand and I’m sure it’s alot less than the $500 million Nick wants.
Even without a prenup he would only be entitled to half of what she earned in the 6 years they were together, which I’m sure isn’t $1 Billion!
This also depends on which state and their laws the divorce is filed in if he would get half or not as well. Some states haven’t moved up to community property laws and 50% of earnings yet!
Either way I she probably had a very firm prenup put together, then he can want all he wants but will only get what the prenup says. And if there is a clause about fooling around on a partner and receiving less for those actions, he’d get even LESS!

The $500 million was earned by Mariah and her “hits”, she’s incredibly talented. What did he do to earn even a portion of that?
They need to abide by the prenup – he should get not a penny more.
